Looking at the motor compartment from the front of the truck, the number one cylinder is the first on the left (passenger side)of the motor.

Ensuring the cylinder feed reservoir is full...A whitish 'cup' against firewall near the brake reservoir... slide under the driver's side of the vehicle just behind the tire and look up at the tranmission. You will see, on the side of the forward end of the case, an area where the resevior feeds the clutch and directly above that is the bleed scew. Having someone depress the clutch while you open and immediately shut the bleed valve and then repeating the process until you get a steady brake fluid stream(yes, you use DOT3 brake fluid), you will have successfully bled the clutch.

the ford 5.0 and ford 4.0 have a different bolt pattern and block spacing if this 4.0 is still the old German designed motor that they used from 1989 on it will not work . there is also a difference in the way the transmission is shifted in the 4.0 is electronic after sometime in the mid 90's to the older 5.0 aod transmission that was with t.v. cable to thottle body .

Underneath/behind the dash on the wiper switch there is a little tab. reach under and press the tab up while GENTLY pulling on the wiper knob. the whole piece will come out (knob& shaft). Be careful, if you pull just the knob off, it will never go back on right.

i have a 1994 ford f150, which is real similar. i recernly changed mine out. under your steering column is a small hole. use a Philips or something with a flat end and put in there. do not jab but push up and if u look in before u will see a spot. push the device in the hold at the spot and once u have the spot lined up and begin to push, have ur old key in the igtion. the piece u stick the key in will come out very easy if pushed proprly. aftr that the new one will lock right into pleace.

Be careful on this. I did it to myself . I install my transmission back on my 89 bronco and found out I didn't lock in the converter right and damage it. Cost me an extra $700 to repair the pump and new converter had the same systems as you.

Check th rear differential, usually theres a metal tag bolted to the dif-cover.Look at the tag for numbers like 3 then a space 55 or other numbers. 3 55

Is the knock sensor hooked up ? ( located behind the intake manifold, passenger side on top of the block ( it screws into the block and has a 2 wire plug on it), did you brake in the motor ? Does it only knock at the rpm you said ? Only when cold ?

THERE IS USUALLY A VACUUM AND BELT DIAGRAM IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. IT IS SOMETIMES CONCEALED BY A REMOVABLE COVER OR FAN SHROUD.

yes and no...

all aspire suspension parts front and rear will bolt directly to the festiva body... however the parts are not the same so you have to change the entire structure over to aspire suspension.. the 2 cars share a few individual parts like axle beam and various nuts and bolt.

the aspire and festiva also have different wheel lug patterns so you need to have aspire wheels also and spare.... so if you change only the front or only the rear you will need to carry 2 spares.
