auto trans their should be a drain plug on the bottom of the trans and a filler neck with the dipstick under the hood manuel trans again with the drain plug and somethimes its easiest to take out the shifter and fill it from the top also on the auto if their is no plug you may just have to take the pan off

if your going to change the fluid on an auto tranny, you should do a service, drop the pan change the filter. 1st why are you changing fluid, is the transmission acting up?

Loosen the adjusting screw until a distinct lash between the rocker arm tip and the valve tip is evident. Carefully turn the adjustment screw until the rocker tip just touches the valve tip. Turn the

adjusting screw in an additional 1.5 turns.

chock wheels on vehicle u will need a good heavy duty air gun or a good solid socket with breaker bar now get under vehicle, remove rear U-Joint and lower drive shaft out of the way. next with a snug fitting socket remove the large nut , (pinion nut) that was hidden by the u-joint. then with a hammer knock the pinion yoke off remove bearing. replace with new bearing NOTE: check yoke for wear, you may need to use a speedy sleeve to repair damage. if it looks good you won't.

replace yoke replace washer and pinion nut, (always use a new pinion nut) tighten to specified torque replace drive shaft and U-JOINT, (now is a good time to put new u-joint in while you have it apart) finished
