first you need to take the brake caliper off and hang them with a wire or plastic strap then take the rotor off you need to take the axle nut off to that is located in the middle of the rotor, once you got it off you need a rubber mallet to hit it until is loose, now you need to take the bolts and nuts of the struts there should be two of them and then take the nut off the lower ball joint then there is a small nut that hold the assembly take it off then hammer out the bolt. once is out you need a ball joint separator that looks like a big fork you can rent this at autozone, once you got the assembly out you need to bring it to the auto shop or nearest car quest to get it press out (wheel bearing) and have them press the new one in, it's about 30-35 dollars to do it. then do the prosses backward, hope this help im in a hurry about to rapelace the whole suspension on my sis-in law 02 escape need a major job.... bye the way this is tsog..

How often the brake pads need to be replace?

That depends on how the brakes are used. If you ride the brakes, do a lot of stop and go driving, fast driving with quick stops... they'll wear out a lot faster. Also, if your calipers are binding your disk brakes can wear out faster.

On the other hand, if you're a "mild" driver and you keep your vehicle in good condition, disk brakes can last quite a while.

How do you replace the front right axle on a 1996 Honda Civic?

FIRST REMOVE THE WHEEL SECOND TAKE A SCREWDRIVER AND BEND THE PART OF THE LOCKNUT HOLDING THE HALFSHAFT OUT THIRD REMOVE THE NUT OFF THE STEERING ARM AND USE A BALL JOINT SPLITTER TO PULL IT APART FOURTH DO THE SAME WITH THE TIE ROD END. PRY THE HUB ASSEMBLY BACK FROM THE AXLE, BEING CAREFUL NOT TO CUT YOUR BRAKEHOSE IF THE AXLE WILL NOT GO WITHOUT MORE FORCE, HAVE SOMEONE PULL THE HUB ASSEMBLY AND HIT THE MIDDLE OF THE AXLLE WITH SOMETHING ROUND TO FORCE IT THROUGH THE HOLE, BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE SPLINE GROOVES ON THE HUB WHEN YOU HAVE THE AXLE OUT OF THE HUB ASSEMBLY, JERK THE AXLE STRAIGHT OUT OF THE TRANNY AND IT SHOULD POP OUT WHEN YOU HAVE THE NEW AXLE JUST ALLIGN THE AXLE IN THE HOLE OF THE TRANNY AND PUSH HARD, DO NOT JERK THE AXLE BACK BECAUSE IT WILL DAMAGE THE NEW ONE REPEAT THE REST OF THE STEP BACKWARDS TO REINSTALL YOUR AXLE.

AdditionI had to give the axle a little more force by carefully using a screwdriver between the axle and tranny to pry the axle out. Don't use to much force since you don't want to crack the tranny. Do not forget to lubricate axle (tranny end) with a little engine oil before inserting the new axle. This prevents a dry shaft from spining the seal in the transmission.

What is the cause of poor gas mileage in a 1988 Madza B2200 truck that runs ok but has exhaust that smells rich?

See whether the truck has an EGR valve and replace it if it has one. If you're not sure whether it has one, call AutoZone and ask for one. If they don't have one for that truck, then it doesn't have one. In that case, check the timing and adjust the carb.

Your heater core, which is under the dash is supplied by coolant from the engine. If it is leaking, or the hoses to it are leaking, it could end up on your carpet. Also, if the drain for the A/C evaporator is clogged, you would have a similar result. This sometimes happens after getting a car undercoated.

Why does my 2003 Ford Escape not idle?

Your 2003 Ford Escape may not idle due to several reasons, including a vacuum leak, a dirty or failing idle air control valve (IAC), or issues with the throttle body. Additionally, problems with the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump, can affect idle stability. It's also worth checking for any trouble codes with an OBD-II scanner, as they can provide insight into engine-related issues. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning the air intake and ensuring proper fuel delivery, can help resolve idling problems.
