on a warm summer day in cape breton is about in the 20's.
Engine overheating, loss of coolant with no apparent leak, overfull oil level, oil looks like chocolate milk, a grey foamy substance on the underside of the oil fill cap, white smoke from the exhaust especially at startup, possible engine miss, loss of power, & air bubble escaping from the radiator with cap off.
Check your fuel filter....located under driver's side seat, inside frame rail. Be careful when removing; that location gets lots of roadcrud and the fittings will easily rust. If you crack the fuel line.... Second place to look is fuel pump; top of the gas tank - gotta pull the bed for access. Ick. The fuel pressure at the engine should be > 50psi, although you can get by above 40-ish psi, but the idle will be noticably rougher the farther below 50psi you get. Luck!
after some research and looking over message boards of people dealing with similar issues.
It comes down to this. If your wheel is locked and your ignition is damaged (no possible way a locksmith could cut a key , etc.) your in some trouble.
My bike was almost stolen. The scumbags punched my ignition, cut my ignition wires. Striped the 2 main screws mounting ignition.
Only options really is to cut/drill out the screws yourself. Bypass the ignition totally. Or go broke paying your local Honda cycle.
The fluid is added where the speedo cable and vehicle speed sensor enter the trans. These items are retained by a small bolt and clip.
i do mine at 15 thou and set timing at 12degrees BTDC
If I recall correctly the 1986 Escort had either a 1,6 diesel or a CVH petrol engine. In any case your car radio (even from 1986) will have more electronics than the rest of the car.
This will vary in the vehicle that is being used. Some of them will use more power than the others.
remove the cap, make sure you keep track of all the horn parts... ie; the spring and the pin.... then use a Phillips head screw driver i believe to remove all the other little parts(white plastic piece, etc.). Then use a puller of some sort, there are steering wheel pullers available, however alot of the bigger pullers will work, and there u have it.. watch out it can really pop off of there so be careful. Some autoparts shorts rent tools, check with them
you need to take it to ford and let them put it on a computer it could be one of many things Have a professional repair the problem with the SRS. They will reset the light after the repair. the repair
Don't try to "fix" electronic parts unless you're an electrical engineer. If it is broken, buy a new one. Places like O'Reilly, Autozone, Napa, Parts Plus, etc. carry them for around $50. If that's too much for you, your local junkyard will have one from $5 to $25. Just make sure you check whether or not the plastic gear on the bottom has 22 or 23 teeth.
get a tap and die set and find the correct thread size, its either 10x1.25 or 10.1.5 and turn those one revolution clockwise then a half a turn counter clockwise and keep doing that until your at the bottom unless it becomes too hard to turn. Use a vaccum cleaner to suck out all left metal shards when done to prevent it from causing a problem. Spray brake cleaner in there before you vaccum to clean it out too.
Yes but it would be way too involved, and completely pointless..
You would need 1.9 motor, tranny, axles, ecu, wiring harness, and ontop of that u will be working backwards, its a 40hp loss, and its quite frankly an inferior motor when compared to the likes of the Mazda BP that's in the GT
Remove the horn button by gently prying it loose. Unplug the wire. Remove the retaining clip with a snap ring tool or just by prying with a small flat screwdriver. You can also use a small pair or needle nose, pulling the handles apart to open the clip. Remove the steering wheel nut. Next, you will most likely need a steering wheel puller. You can usually borrow this from a parts store. You will attach the puller using the two small, threaded holes on either side of the main bolt. The main part of the puller will push on the center, while pulling the two outer bolts. The wheel should release after a few cranks of the wrench.
Check under the hood and under the driver side steering column.
Its located on the passenger side behind the strut mount on the engine compartment and it has a rubber cover.
The firing order is 1-3-4-2. Cylinder number 1 is closest to the pulleys and on the distributor it is the first wire to the left of the connector when viewed from above.
Its simple. You just open up the hatch, and there are little plastic pieces on each side, inside the car, by the tail lights that pop out, and there are your light bulbs.
If you mean that you have a warning light on, then once the problem that is causing the airbag warning light to come on is diagnosed and fixed, the light will reset itself.
For 1998 Ford Escort ZX2 with a 2.0 16 V Zetec VCT motor use Champion Platinum RE 7PYP6 spark plugs.
It looks like every other starter relay, it is located on the firewall on the passenger side. It looks like a square block with 4 terminals.
