An original key will have a thick black plastic handle with contains a programmable 'chip' which your ignition will 'read.' Any Ford dealer or any well eqquipped locksmith shop should be able to DUPLICATE a 'chipped' key for you (the locksmith will be less expensive). HOWEVER - if you do not have a 'chipped' key to begin with your only option is the ford dealer who will be able to duplicate it using the vehicle's VIN number. Hope you have an original key. There are NO front wheel bearings (in the commonly accepted sense of the word) on Focus. Because the front wheels are actually the 'drive' wheels they have Constant Velocity Joints (CV joints). Instructions on how to replace them are W-A-Y too long and detailed to appear here. Suggest that you GOOGLE >focus cv joints< and follow some of the links. You quite likely may hit on a techincal site that may help you.

They do have wheel bearings and they are in the steering knuckle, they are pressed in. Suggest you look up the parts at auto zone and get a picture of one.

You are referring to CCA or Cold Cranking Amps. Sure you can drive it. In fact that is a very good size battery for cold temperature starts.

You've asked this question three times and I have ANSWERED you THREE times. Yes, but no more than 30 - 40 miles, AT THE MOST!! And make sure you put it in neutral!!

If you're talking about the safety cut-off, it's usually in the "trunk" area, on the left-hand side. Push the red button on top to activate it.

1. Remove the door Pull-handle cover, by inserting a screwdriver into the access hole on the bottom of the handle, and using the screwdriver as a lever, pop off the handle cover.

2. Remove the button covering a retaining screw in the interior door latch backing plate.

3. Remove the 8 Torx� retaining screws around the perimeter of the door panel, and the single Torx� retaining screw in the interior door latch.

4. Remove the 2 hex bolts in the door handle.

5. Gently lift the panel upwards, to disengage the window weather-strip molding.

6. Remove the Door Latch Trim Panel, be sure to unplug the Power Lock Switch, and remember how the wire was run.

7. Remove the interior door latch, by gently pulling out on the front corner, which is held in by a plastic compression spring.

Could possibly be your drum or caliper seized. In any case try rocking your car back and forth. Shift in drive and reverse to rock the car

You go to the auto supply place, open car door, step out, walk inside the store, purchase a bottle of Fuel Injector Cleaner, go to your car's gas tank, take off the caps, pour in cleaner, replace gas cap. throw empty cleaner bottle in the trash, get in car and drive.

In the back door there is a box next to the tool box that is where the washer fluid goes

you should be able to get a connector from a good motor spares shop,i.e. Halfords,that will plug straight into the back of your radio and into the connector on the car wiring harness so you do not have to cut into the wires

I have had several with the same complaint. 2000 FORD FOCUS sputters, rough idle around 750-1000 RPM's but ok when running at highway speeds. It is a hose below the throttle body. It is about 8in down between the fire wall and the engine. This is the part number CO13A 988F-6N664-BA. Getting off is a bit of a task, you might need a flat head screwdriver and pry it off turning the screwdriver clockwise while being up against the bracket/hose clamp and the intake. The hose gets very hot and soft collapeses on itself or blows a hole in it. If you check this and this is not the case you might have a dirty MAF or another vacuum leak somewhere. Hope this helps out a few people that have changed sparkplugs, sparkplugs wires filters pcv valve and pixie dust all over the engine. Cheers!!!

look at the fuse block usually located by your left foot. Quarter size cover/hole I belive

My Focus did that on the way to Buffalo NY this past summer. I stopped at a Midas Muffler and they diagnosed a bad turn signal bulb. When one is out, the other will blink fast. CHeck that out.

Most likely one or both brake light lamp sockets are corroded. This will short the circuit and blow the fuse. The only other most likely cause is a loose wire connection at the socket or fuse holder.

I am pretty sure there are three engine/transmission mounts. One on the passenger side of the enginer compartment, one in the front of the engine/transmission and the other behind the engine/transmission. The ones in the front and back of the engine are a pain in the @ss to fix.

I just wasted a whole lot of time lookin' for it in the wrong place which was suggested by others on different sites.

On my 2002 Focus it is located just ahead of the RIGHT front wheel and can be easily seen by looking underneath the right front fender in this area. The aluminum canister has a black foam "jacket" on it that may make it a bit hard to see.

The problem with recharging it is that the low pressure port is located on top of this canister and I could not get the recharging fittings on it from underneath since there is very little room and you can't see the port.

What I had to do was remove the passenger side headlight to gain access from above. It wasn't all that hard to do actually, but if you aren't very good with wrenches don't even attempt it...get some help. There are three bolts for the headlight that you remove from the top area and one you can't see until you look under the car.

You must also remove the plastic shroud at the top of the grill held on by a few screws. Once that is done, remove the 4 bolts holding the grill on and once you disconnect the headlight wiring, the light comes right out and you can get to the recharge port fairly easily. There still isn't alot of room, but I have a big hand and I still managed.

Why there isn't a factory extension tube that would bring that port up where it could be easily accessed is beyond me...but I guess well paid car engineers never have to work on anything themselves that they create. Good luck all.
