Where is the fuse for electric door locks located on 2000 Focus?

It is on the the fuse panel located behind the dash to the left of the steering column. It is Fuse # 63 and it is on the BACK of the fuse panel. You have to unfasten the fuse panel from its mounting to get to it. A BAD design flaw. There are two hex-head screws that I can see. Behind all that good stuff?

Why is your 6 disc CD stereo display blinking on your 2002 ford focus?

I believe that is an anti-theft device, there is a thin peice of plastic that when you push a button it pops off and when that happens, you can't turn on the CD player. The light stops blinking too. So don't worry about it , it's fine.

Can't get 2002 ford focus air filter box to open screws just spin how can I get it open?

I had the same problem with my 2002 SE. There are retaining nuts underneath that are rusted to and spinning with the screws. Your going to have to use a small pair of vice grip pliers to hold the nuts still while loosening the screw. Its possible to do this without removing the air filter box, but is probably a little easier with the filter box out (I did mine without removing, the top left nut was a little difficult to get to). I would suggest you use a ratchet for this opposed to a screwdriver. Once loose, spray a little wd-40 on the bolts and nuts to make it a little easier for next time.

When do you use the overdrive function?

All the time. I assume you are talking about an automatic transmission. In that case set it in it's highest position (overdrive) for all normal driving. This will give you the best gas mileage. Wrong. When you use the overdrive, he means when you take the overdrive off. It's used when you go down steep hills to slow the speed down. Or when you need extra power to overtake (pass) another car Both are correct. During the course of normal driving the car should be driven with O/D On. This will provide the best economy as well as improve ride comfort (engine isn't working as hard and is quieter). But when descending a hill it can be turned off to help control vehicle speed without using the brakes, or to assist the brakes in slowing the vehicle. This works much like 'down shifting' in a manual transmission vehicle. Also in most vehicles O/D should be turned off when towing or hauling large loads to keep the transmission from getting overworked. If a vehicle is working properly it will disengage O/D by itself when you use 'full throttle', such as when passing someone. There is no need to disengage it in this circumstance.

Spark plug gap for 2002 ford focus 2.0?

Look on the sticker under the hood. Some of the same models might be different. Someone said advised not to gap plugs, install them right out of box. Not true, do u think these plugs from another country are going to be perfect after such a trip? I installed 4 plugs out of the box, one was not correct. Had to take it out and re-gap bcuz it mis- fired. It was perfect after that. U did not mention what brand of spark plug that u gaped and installed in ur vehicle. Some say DO NOT gap bosch plugs, and say to get the ford brand. You are advised NOT to gap single plat plugs, u are safer with double plat plugs. Use a wire spark plug gaper not a solid one. Most of these double plat plugs come with a 5 year warranty. Check it out. Also, why did you have to pay $150.00 to have ur car fixed. If u changed ur own plugs, did u not think that it possibly something that u had recently done?
