How do you fix a GTO idling problem?

Others claim to have experienced idling problems with their GTO's aswell before their its' engine computer learned the new flow of the LS1Speed intake. Initially, the car had a bit of a hesitation to startup when the key was turned, but that issue went away as the computer learned. Probably the most noticeable effect the system had was that it made the intake snarl much more audible, which is always a plus.

What is a V6?

The simple answer to this question is that a V6 is an engine that has six cylinders, there are two types, Inline 6 and V6. Inline 6 means that there are 6 cylinders in a row and a V6 means that the cylinders are in a V formation 3 on each side of the block. On the Ford Bronco II or the early Ford Rangers you would have what is refered to as a "Cologne" 2.9L V6. this is a 60° cast iron block V6 engine built by the Ford Motor Company in Cologne, Germany (thats where it gets its name from). The output was rated at 140 horsepower @4600 rpm for the Light trucks (1986-92 Ranger & 1986-90 Bronco II)

How do you add transmission fluid to a 1991 Ford Ranger with a 5 speed manual shift?

Do this with the truck level. Crawl under truck (if you can). Find large hex-head bolt on drivers side (in the side) near middle of transmission. This is the fill plug and looks like a large bolt. Unscrew the bolt. Fill (with Mercon ATF most likely) Use a large squirt-squeeze bottle like Lucas Injector cleaner (large size), and fill till fluid BEGINS TO RUN OUT. If fluid runs out when you take the plug out, then you don't need to add any.

How do you remove the horn pad in the center of the steering wheel from a 1988 Dodge Ram 50 truck?

I'm no expert at fixing cars, but I just pried the rubber part off. It's a cover (or sleeve) that wraps around a plastic thing that creates that weird rhombus shape. Just keep pulling at it and it will come off. My horn is ON constantly and I can't figure out why. That's what made me try to take it apart in the first place. I was able to get the horn pad off, and the brass noise-maker part and even see some wires and connections. But I have yet to control the horn. So I just removed the fuse and don't drive it alot. Anyway, hope that helps! Let me know if you have any (inexpensive) solutions for me.

AnswerCenter window light is on a separate circuit. Manufacturers did that so you don't lose all the brake lights at once. Check connections at brake switch and fuses. If ok look for broken wire in harness...............good luck, Mike
