Reforestation is an extremely important thing for the earth because it helps the global climate and provides a habitat for many species who may have lost their home by previous deforestation. Although deforestation causes a domino affect that harms many different species, there are a few advantages to it. First, cutting down trees and using them for lumber is good for the economy, and also it gives livestock a place to graze. The only disadvantages of reforestation are cost and time.

People use the forest for certain products such as pulp and paper and lumber. From the forest we can also get 2 types of woods, hardwood (flooring, handrails) or softwood (plywood, laminate). We can also get wildlife shelters and produce personal hygiene products such as toilet paper and kleenex.

If more forests were cut down levels of oxygen in the atmosphere would fall, and levels of carbon dioxide would rise. There would still be enough oxygen for us to breathe, but the extra CO2 would increase global warming.

as a tree grows tall it also gets more girth. every year this girth grows another ring around the center of the trunk. so if you cut a tree down you will seea series of rings, each one represents a year in the life of the tree 75rings 75years old
