You have to take the interior engine cover off to access the spark plugs.

First take out the two screws that hold the drink holder, Take all the Philips screws that hold the leather/covering, Remove two screws/bolts in ash tray compartment, then remove two bolts at the bottom front of engine cover, lastly unlatch both sides of the cover. The best way to remove the cover is to push the bottom toward the engine and pull the top out(away from engine) and up...it's tight.

check on your fan shroud there should be a diagram on there for serpentine belt, etc.

Clean your shroud off as it may be dirty or oily and you may not see it immediately.

on my 1989 vandura, the interior lights are on two different switches - the horn/DM fuse will turn on the front dome light and the rear light if that's what your looking for.....

The problem ended up being defective spark plug wires. sounds like rod bearings. It couldn't be the rod bearings, because the engine would run for a few miles and then quit. Rod bearings tend to go quickly.

REMOVE POSITIVE SIDE OF BATTERY CABLES BEFORE BEGINING>>>JUST IN CASE!Hing the ash tray lid open...take the 2 Phillips head screws out...on bottom of cover remove the 2 phillip head screws...pull cover back 4 inches to remove the lighter socket plug and power mirror plug (if so equipped). Now you can safely remove the plastic portion of the cover. Now on to the metal cover. On each side of the cloth heat cover remove the 2-3 snap covers then remove the phillip head screws. On the very bottom of the metal cover feel the carpet for raised areas...under the carpet are 2 bolts on a hinge (use 1/2 socket on 10 inch extension with 3/8 ratchet) no back to the sides of the metal cover...there ia a clasp hinge on each side...lift the rear of the clasp (furthest side away from dash) and slide back.

Put slick 50 in the oil and don't worry about it.

Painfully, the motor's got to be lifted, unbolt the motor mounts and try to keep the swearing to a dull roar.

This is probably one of the most tedious and painstaking things I have done on my 2500. First of all remove ALL the door panels, you should see an oval in the door right where a window crank handle would go, the motor is bolted to the back of this by either one nut and two bolts or one bolt and two nuts which you can barely see, you have to remove these (the painstaking part) and push the motor away from the mechansim, keep in mind that you have to secure the window before removing the motor or it will drop once the motor is removed and could cause damage to both the window and your arm!

on the 89 the arm has one wire for the cruise, this connects under the dash and must be disconnected and fished out of the steering column, as for the arm itself, it should just pull out of the column

The can from Wal Mart has a pressure gauge on it and a chart telling u how much pressure to use in what kind of air temperature. The blue is within acceptable range the yellow is below and the red is overcharged which can damage your system. If it is still not working u have other problems

The 91 Vandura G2500 Instrument Panel Cluster Relay is located on the dashboard.

It is under the rear of the van on the passenger side against the frame, it is held in place by a bracket with one bolt, loosen the bolt, get you some rags because the gas will leak a little, don't worry it's normal, loosen the bolts on both ends of the filter let gas drain out till it stops, then continue taking the lines off, pay attention wich way the flow goes, then replace the same way you took it off.

The issue we have with our 1990 GMC Vandura 2500 is that it won't shift into third. I had talked to one of my coworkers at the Tires Plus in Minot and he said that part of the tranny got clogged or something along those lines. Also according to him, it was a problem that the 700R4 transmissions were notorious for.

,ok that big thing in between the driver seat and passenger is the engine cover,there will be 2 bolts at the bottom, left and right under the carpet,so remove those then about where your knee would hit it theres a latch on the left and right undo both latch's and lift up and out,you might have to rotate or lay down the chairs to get it out of the van...good luck

Your best bet is to just go to the library, and get the book there i have a 1990 and it was a pain. Had to remove the shard,fan,belt. Not alot of room to work with so when i was ready to rebolt it back up i used a steel rod to hold one side in place to bolt it back together. and for the shard that covers the fan i cut mine in half and put 2 bolts to reconnect it reason being is if i have to take it off again wont be a pain to get out. Works great

because your linkage is not correctly adjusted.

both are 1998 gmc 3500 with a fiber glass box on back on 1 an also have just a cargo van too

Vacuum hoses are used to operate power brake boosters, E.G.R. valves, P.C.V. valves, and even heater/air conditioning controls just to name a few. It is very important to have these hoses hooked up correctly. There should be a vehicle emission control information sticker under the hood or on the radiator cover with a vacuum hose diagram.

Pull the valance off the bottom of the wind shield.

I have a 1995 GMC Suburban and started having similar experience with the difference of when I press my brake pedal my dashboard lights come on and my left turn signal stays on when my headlights are on. From conversations with mechanics it may be one of several things. You may want to gently "jiggle" your turn signal handle either while the left signal is on or before turning it on to see if that changes anything. You may want to look at other lights to see if any others are on or off while the turn signal is on. The brakes are wired through the turn signal handle and may effect how the signal is working and this may help narrow down the problem. Make sure you check your bulbs and finally you may have a ground wire that is not grounded well. I have a Frontier Campervan conversion on this vehicle type and can answer for that.

1) Turn on the propane at the tank.

2) Take the front panel off the furnace by pulling the top straight out then lifting.

3) Turn the propane on at the furnace by rotating the red knob 1/2 turn to the ON position.

4) Replace the furnace cover.

5) The wall thermostat has an ON/OFF switch on the bottom. Click it to the ON (right) position.

6) Adjust the temperature using the top slider on the thermostat.

The thermostat should first start the blower then, after a few seconds, start the igniter. I can easily hear the igniter 'tick' as it sparks.

That's all there should be to it.
