On a regular cab Ford Ranger, the Jack and lug wrench are behind the passenger seat bolted to the floor.

You can remove it no problem with the usuall tools. You only need a torque wrench to put it back together again.

Try 3/8 Allen key , or 15 mm wrench.

It means your engine needs attention.

It is telling you that one of the monitered systems on your truck needs to be checked out. If you go to your nearest aito parts store they can probably read the codes for you and get you going in the right direction to repair it.

i just changed my front rotors and pads on my 2001 escape, 6 cylinder. everyone was wrong on the wrench sizes, including the idiots at my local ford dealer. to get the brake calipers off I needed a 7mm hex bit. to get the caliper bracket off I needed an 18mm socket, it was a very easy job but check your wrench sizes first, it seems that every year and model uses different sizes.

I just replaced mine. I would recommend buying the Moen original valve, #1225. I paid $20 at HomeDepot.

The factory valve has a tool that help you remove the valve. The tool is a plastic cap that fits on top of the valve and lets you rotate it back an forth to loosen it.

The trick is that you need to remove the retainer clip (1883) first. Remember the order of the parts. It can be tricky.

Make sure the hot and cold are correct. Just take the handle off again and rotate the valve.

Stevegto; I want to thank you for your helpful answer. It took me 20 minutes to replace the cartridge. My problem was the valve would not turn off upon pressing down on the handle. To turn off the faucet you had to press down on the center of the unit and not use the handle. Replacing this worked great. I did find locating the retaining clip was a challenge as it was the same color as the unit itself. Once I removed that, the unit came out easily. OF course the plastic cap included did help me move the cartridge back and forth as you mentioned.

Time for a interval service or just a basic oil change.

Almost all Kia calipers are held with 14 or 17mm bolts, NOT Allen screws.

you can go to any part store specialty tool section look for Chevy brake caliper tool less than 5 dollars

To remove the calipers from the mounts it takes a 3/8's hex...use a socket style one...an Allen key would take forever.
