Why poor acceleration in a Honda Accord 2005?
The answer to this question does not depend on Honda Accord as it is similar for all or most modern cars. Many things may cause poor acceleration. Improper type of fuel, air filter is clogged, carburetors dirty or partially blocked or misadjusted, spark plugs have gone bad, the ignition system does not work properly, valves in the cylinder head are not functioning as they should, broken distributor cap making one or more cylinders miss out, the choke may be on permanently (this sometimes happens with automatic choke). The state of the engine or electrical system or drive train or all of the three may be bad. The tires can even be at fault if they have very low air pressure so they are almost flat. I would start checking the fuel system, the air filter and the ignition system. If these are in order, then I would go check the engine. Is there oil in the crankcase? When was the car overhauled last time? What is the state of the alternator and the battery? Although the last two things don't directly affect acceleration, they sure are important for the performance of the engine.

How do you fix speedometer on Honda 1997 accord?
It's a common problem. If it's staying at 19mph all the time, the speedo head is bad. It's common for some solder points to come undone. If you know how to solder, you could do that. If your cruise control doesn't work and your speedo doesn't work, it's your VSS. It's by the trans and really easy to change. Hope this helps.

How do you change the water pump on a 1994 Dodge Intrepid with 3.5L engine?
On a 3.5L engine first disconnect the negative battery cable. (2) Loosen the pulleys and remove V-belt & A/C belt..note: the pulley located on timing cover must be removed. It has three bolts which are of different sizes, make sure you don't mix these bolts up. (3) Remove Harmonic balancer with removal kit. (4) Remove timing belt cover. You will see that the water pump is pulled by the timing belt. BE VERY CAREFUL YOU DO NOT TAKE THE ENGINE OUT OF TIME. If you mistakenly rotate a sprocket, you must realign the timing marks to prevent rod damage. (5) Loosen tensioner and remove timing belt. (6) Remove water pump. Clean surface of block face and disgard old o-ring. (7) Install new pump & o-ring...note: it is a good idea to replace timing belt as they should be changed every 100 thousand miles. (8) Install new thermostat. (9) Reinstall everything the way you took it apart. (10) Refill coolant.
What does it mean when the s is flashing green on the 1991 Honda Accord instrument panel?
Problem with the transmission. Seek professional help.
beast way to describe it, put your front end on jack stands, crawl under on the driver side, look up and to the right. it is located behind the right wheel inside the engin compartment. You'll need to work from underneath mostly. but may fin you need to jockey it into position from the top.
Your speedometer stays on 20 mph and you have replaced the VSS What could be the problem?
You have to remove the panel around the cluster which has 2 screws at the top facing upward. Once removed pull from top down and gently pull towards you to release the 2 clips holding it in from the bottom. That will expose the instrument cluster which has 4 screws securing it. Remove those screws and pull towards you gently and release the connectors then remove cluster. You'll have to remove the bulbs and the white cover to expose the speedo and its screws. Be gentle when removing the white cover(clips and screws). P.S. get the speedo from a scrap yard and save yourself some money. Good luck, RICK
Where can you find a 1990 Honda Accord wiring guide for the stereo?
go buy a chiltons or haynies, tehy prove to be very useful, and I have found that if you call your local Honda service center and speak with the techs they will gladly make you a copy of whatever it is that you need, but as far as stereo wiring goes you don't need the print...how many wires could ther possibly be?ok this is just off the top of my head, and not specific to Honda, but to aftermarket stereos/speaker specs....
1. Illumination Orange 2. Memory Yellow constant 12V 3. Power Red switched circuit 4. Ant. Remote Blue 5. Amp Remote Blue / White 6. FL Speaker + Grn 7. FL Speaker - Grn/Blk 8. FR Speaker + Purple 9. FR Speaker - Purple/Blk10. FL Speaker + White11. FL Speaker - White/Blk12. FR Speaker + Grey13. FR Speaker - Grey/Blk
so 13 wires is not so bad.....go to your nearest auto parts store and purchase a stereo wire harness...all the wire colors are the same as on your new deck....they cost about $5 and hook right up...

How do you replace the speedometer cable for the 1986 Honda accord?
Easy. I have an 87 Accord, so it's probably similar. First you find the speedometer cable that runs across the top of your engine and into the side of the transmission. On the other end it enters the fire wall right where the instrument cluster is. You will unclip the end that is attached to the transmission and pull the cable out. In my case, the broken end was at the other end by the instrument cluster. You have to just start taking out screws to get take out the instrument cluster. Once you get that out, the cable simply clips in there as well. Viola, replace the cable. Easy. I have an 87 Accord, so it's probably similar. How come your dashboard lights taillights don't turn on?
This work great 4-20-2012 not only was my dashboard lights, taillights, but also my side marker lights where not working, but everything else was in my 1996 HONDA ACCORD EX 4CYL VTEC 2 DOOR. Just F-y-I my bad fuse was found in the fuse box located under neath the hood on the passenger side. It is -not- labeled (dashboard light, nor taillights, nor side marker lights. All these are under -one- label call (SMALL LIGHT) and it is 15A FUSE. THAT IS ... 15 AMPS FUSE. It might be fuse box underneath the steering wheel like the solution noted above; but my bad fuse was located in fuse box underneath the hood. Good Luck Everyone.
