Not entirely certain about this one but on most cars you can look up from under the front bumper and if you can see the hood latch you should be able to use a screwdriver or a pliers to trip the latch.

yes it will bolt right up, how ever you will need a D16Y7 (96-00 non vtec 1.6 liter) timing belt, as the length will be slightly different. you might also need D16Y7 spark plug wires. also your upper timing belt cover will not bolt on. you might be able to use the cover from a D16Y7, but im not sure.

Check the coil then. The spark originates at the coil and it distributed to the correct spark plug by the distributor. If you get a spark from the coil and not at the plugs then there is something wrong at the distributor. If you are getting no spark from the coil, then check to see if it's getting power. If it is then replace the coil. Hope that helps... the coil is internal in the distributor, if the distributor worked in another civic, then something would be wrong with your wiring or ecu. check your ecu, once you acces the ecu, when you first turn your ignition on the ecu will flash once, that will tell you if the ecu is getting power, next check your fuses. sounds simple. and last try checking your timing, might be so far out, when it is time to spark it will miss.

The oil filter is on the side of the motor closest to the firewall. You will probably need to be under the car to see it. Given that the ground clearance is low, you will probably need to raise it to get that far under it. BTW, it will make a bit of a mess when you spin it off.

I think it has something to do with the airbag. Safety Restraint System?

If a car shakes at stop light like it is going to shut off, this is probably caused by the AC compressor. To check on this, turn of the climate control and see if it goes away.

A rule fo thumb on all cars is this. First I'm not sure were your distributor is on your car but I really don't have to know. All front and rear wheel drive cars be it 4 or 6 or 8 cylinder engines number 1 cylinder is on the front of the engine. And the back of a engine is always were the transmission is. This is a rule of thumb there might be some foreign made car out there some were that might be differnt but I haven't seen it.

You may add coolant mixture to the bottle inside the fender at any time. It is safer to add to the radiator when the engine has completely cooled 3-4 hours.

on a 2003 Honda si the fan motor blows shen removed from car. there is 12 volts to fan . fan will not run when plugged into car. does fan sw have anything to do with this
