if it does not leak oil, but the oil level dropps(or you have smoke, white or blue). on these motors, the valve stem seals lie to go out, and that's cheaper than a whole rebuild. start your motor, and remove the oil fill cap. if alot of smoke starts to come out, you need a rebuild. if little or no smoke comes out, your motor is good, and you need new valve stem seals

jump terminal on the driver side with the blue-green wire and the brown wire then start engine and using the light gun check for tdc at a tolerance of 15 degrees

Push the bolt completely out of the caliper and clean it well, then put some special lube the have in a little tear open pack and coat the sliding parts. I used to use never seize but was told this stuff is silicon based and won't swell up the rubber like never-seize might.

The ECU is on the passenger side underneath the floor at the front where your feet would be if you where sitting with your feet all the way to the front. pull up the carpet in that area and it should come out easily by hand since its held down by some Velcro strips and you'll see a board of wood attached by about 4 10mm bolts maybe a few more but i doubt it and then the ECU will be right there and after that my guess would be to just unbolt it and disconnect it from the car but only after you disconnect the battery just to be safe

The ECU is located in the same location the 300ZX NA and TT from 89.5 to 96 beneath the glove box. First disconnecting the negative battery cable. Second, pulling back the carpet exposing the teak wood cover. Then on the left side is the ECU mounted in the frame held in

place by three 10mm screws. Once these screws are removed you can remove the ECU from

under the dash but it is still connected to the Harness. Usually, the harness connector is BLUE with a 10mm screw in the middle.. This screw does not cone out of the harness connector just

unscrews from the ECU.

There can be several reasons for this. After checking there is gasoline in the tank and it flows freely to the carburetors, check the battery and its voltage. It should be around 12.6 volts. Change the battery if needed. Check the charging system and all fuses and relays. You should have a 13.5 to 14 volts reading from a meter with the engine running at 3000 RPM, if it is less then the charging system needs to be repaired. In that case, check if the rectifier or regulator is good or not. It may also be the stator is not producing enough current or there may be a wiring problem. There could also be a problem with the carburetors, they may need cleaning and adjustment and this applies to the fuel and air system in general. Check the air filter and clean or change it. Check and change the spark plugs and their wires. Make sure there is enough oil in the crankcase. Check starter motor and starter motor relay. Service manuals will give more detailed information.

if your car is running rich, then you need to either get your ecu tuned to adjust it. Or get a controller like a SAVC or Hondata. For a performance motor like an h22 a properley dyno tuned ecu makes all the difference.

Oil lines to the suspension should be for the power steering system.

4 WIER STEERING Let's make that 4 wheel steering, some Honda Preludes have this feature.

I have a '90 prelude SR. It does not have an airbag.

I have a 1990 prelude that is in the dealership as I write this to have the speed sensor replaced. I have just been told that it is on the transmition. It is a sensor.

One of the harder swaps I've seen done in a Prelude. Much custom work that has to be done, should not be your first experience with building a car.

I would say yes....I believe they started with fuel injection in 1987. One way to tell for sure is to open your hood....if there is no carburator,it is fuel injected.

Actually the preludes were fuel injected before hand. my prelude 2.0Si is an 86' and its fuel injected and also the first year to introduce PRGFM or PGFM something or the other. its programed fuel management. i get 35 mpg on the highway.

You are either not getting spark from your ignition, Or you are not getting enough fuel. try changing your fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, distributor cap/rotor button, and plug wires in any order. this is basically a full D.I.Y. tune up if these don't work try testing your fuel pump. a repair manual is available in most parts stores to help you trouble shoot anything else.

Where is the oil sending unit on a 1992 Honda Prelude? This car is with my son at college 200 miles away from our house.

if its h22a engine intake are 0.15-0.19mm (0.006-0.007in) ,exhaust 0.17-0.21(0.007-0.008)

At the factory we set the tappet clearance to 200 microns plus or minus 20 microns. This applies to all L4 and V6 engines. The Prelude is built in Japan, but I would assume that the settings are the same.

Fouling spark plugs can happen when the tip temperature is insufficient to burn off carbon, fuel, oil or other deposits and causes spark to leach to metal shell...no spark across plug gap will cause a misfire. Wet-fouled spark plugs must be changed as they won't fire. Dry-fouled spark plugs can sometimes be successfully cleaned by bringing the engine up to the operating temp.

Look down on your break peddle and there should be a lil plastic peace that is going to be missing u need relaxes it

YES, Running it with to much oil is worse then running it low on oil. It builds up to much crankcase pressure and starts leaking oil at it's weakest point. Gaskets and o-rings
