The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) on a 1992 Prelude is located in the engine compartment behind the motor. Look for a small sensor just to the left of the spark plug bank next to the EFI (Electronic Fuel Injector) or the carburetor module.

How do you read obd on 91 Honda Prelude?

There is no obd port. You can peel back the carpet under the passenger foot area and reveal the ecu. From there you can read the led flashes to find out what codes are being displayed.

How do you replace a rear view mirror on an '86 Honda Prelude?

I just took one off at a junk yard. It's not obvious...... All you have to do though is grab the rear view mirror with both hands, and yank it down, and toward the back seat, fairly hard. The mirror and the mount both come off, with a screw that stays in the mirror bracket. There's also a bracket that stays in the roof. Now you have access to the screws in the bracket in the roof. Now you can remove the cover that came off with the mirror, and also remove the bracket in the roof. It's fairly obvious how to put it back. You put the mirror and the bracket together, and then screw them in to the roof. Now you can snap the cover back on, and you're done!

2000 Navigator air suspension stops working when vehicle is driven. It works at slow speeds but fails to work during highway driving. The compressor relay and height sensors checks good. Whats wrong?

Same as a Range Rover, a Navigator is made to adjust height depending on speeds......for better handling ofcourse. Mine does the same thing, at 60-70mph it will sort of drop the height alittle bit! Now, if you a have a situation where it is loosing all the air to the extend of riding like a low rider, then you have a problem, it never goes that low! Unfortunately ford made these vehicles to be repaired by ford alone expecially this kind a system.....you might need to see a dealer if this is what you have!

How do I change headlights for a 1994 Honda Prelude?

When you open the hood, there should be a panel behind/above the light socket, remove that, unplug the light and check the size of the light find the same size and replace it.

Why is the engine light staying on a 1990 Honda Prelude?

The ecu is warning you it has detected an issue. Pull back the carpet under the glove box to reveal the communication led and follow vehicle specific instructions to retrieve codes. Google, a prelude forum or a repair manual would be the best source.

What oil should you use in your 1994 Honda Prelude si?

As far as I know, all Hondas use 5/30. I don't think the brand matters.

they call for 5/30 but i always use valvoline 10/30 in my prelude

I've been working in a shop for over 5 years now and almost every honda/acura calls for 5w20 (usually on the oil cap). If it has a lot of miles, I'd recommend a high mileage oil. you'll pay a little more, but its molecular structure helps seal.

Does the 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V use a timing belt or chain and around how much does it cost to replace?

I was told that timing belts should be replaced every 60,000 miles. However, when I called the local Nissan dealer for my 2003 Sentra, they told me it does not ever need to be replaced. Then I read somewhere that apparently Nissan guarantees the timing belt/chain to last the life time of the engine. I also read that 2003 Sentra has a timing chain, not a belt.

How do you replace the main relay in a '89 Honda Prelude?

it's on the drivers side under the dash or right around the kick panel area, it's a black plastic square plug that is only connected to wires on one side, there isn't a specific place for them other than that general area. And it's kind of expensive to replace them, if you find it you can take it out and resolder the circuits on it and it should be fine. If you have any questions about what it looks like go buy one and look for the plug that looks just like it.. that's it.

Why does my stereo on 01 Honda Civic turns on and off while driving?

How much horsepower do fuel injectors give lt1?

All 300 of it.

This is a question without a better answer. You need to state a better question, such as -- how much extra horsepower can I gain by installing larger injectors? The answer to this one is -- none, if this is the only modification.

Does a Honda Prelude SI need high octane fuel?

91 octane

New answer:

I don't know about the newer ones, but 88-91 prelude 2.0SI's only need 87 octane, as per manufacturer specification. The compression ratio is 9:1, so 87 is fine. The only reason you would want to use a higher octane than specified is if you have altered the engine in a way that causes higher combustion temperature, i.e raised compression.

How do you repair the headlight motor on a 1989 Honda Prelude Si?

How to replace an oil pan on a Prelude?

Buy a new filter, oil and new oil pan gasket. Never use an old gasket unless you have no choice (stuck in the middle of nowhere). Drain oil. Remove oil filter. Remove the approximately 10 bolts around the perimeter of the pan. Remove old gasket, clean the gasket surface on the engine and new pan with brake degreaser. Install the new gasket onto the pan. Insert 1 or 2 bolts through the pan holes and then put the new pan, with its gasket and bolts, onto the bottom of the engine, and hand-tighten two bolts to hold the pan in place. Then add the rest of the bolts, tighten evenly to the specified torque, install a new filter (Purolator's Pure One), and add the specified oil. Put the oil cap on and run the engine to check for leaks.
