No it will not I bought a Hombre with door damage thinking s10 series is the same, but after the purchase I found out that the hombre has the s10 series drive train but Isuzu body

Do what I did. Run a wire from the fuse block's main input cable, (positive) into the interior, run another wire from the starter solenoid into the car's interior and connect them to a switch or touch them together to turn the engine over. Make sure when you turn your key on to turn it all the way so the security system won't disable the vehicle. Oh ya, make sure its not ingear.

insufficient vacuum. The vacuum is part of the brake booster. First thing to check is a defective or leaking hose in the brake vacuum system.

Attached to the rear of the passengers side cab mud guard. I found it after a 30 min search but I need to know where the main fuse is, can you help with this.

I recently had to replace the fuel pump on my '89 Trooper. Sadly, it resides inside the gas tank and is very expensive to replace ($800-$900 with labor). Even if you find the part used (which isn't recommended with fuel pumps) you're still going to find that next to replacing the trans, it's the most expensive repair for an old Trooper.

By the way, if you're having fuel pump issues, be aware that many times it is because of worn or corroded wiring to the fuel pump -- a well-known problem on this generation of Troopers. The wiring often can be repaired WITHOUT having to replace the fuel pump, so it can be worth a try.

Also, it is possible to replace the pump by yourself, but it takes a LONG time and is fairly difficult.

There should be a hole behind the top of the bumper in the body, right above the license plate. Take the jack crank handle and insert it into the hole, and match the end of the handle to the fitting. Then unscrew the fitting. The spare tire will slowly lower itself.

Valve Lash Adjustment On

1986-92 Isuzu 2.3 & 2.6L Engines

AERA member have expressed some confusion on the correct valve lash

adjustment procedure on 1986-92 Isuzu 2.3 & 2.6L engines. It appears that previous service manual information may lead a technician to an incorrect adjustment.

The service manual indicates that valve lash on the #1 cylinder should be adjusted when all timing marks are lined up. The camshaft however, is in the valve overlap position at the number one cylinder. If the adjustment is made as indicated in the manual, excessive valve lash will result. These engines are actually timed off the #4 cylinder and those valves can be adjusted when all timing marks are lined up.

To correctly adjust the valves, first look to see that the cam lobes are pointing down in the cylinder you are adjusting. The correct adjustment is made on a cold engine and is .008 for both valves on the 2.6L engine. The adjustment for the 2.3L engine is .006 for intake valves and .010 for exhaust valves.

disconnect the fuel lines, supply and return, and vapor line and disconnect electrical connector and drop the gas tank. Drain it first.

It is between the valve top and rocker For 4ba1 it is 0.40mm

Specs! There are no Specs on this that I know of. It is a $150 dollar piece the Japanese put on Isuzu vehicles. Once it deteriorates from the inside your engine will either start loping and idle higher than normal or both!

On pickup trucks it is located on the passenger side inside the engine compartment next to and behind the battery. It looks like a door knob and made of white plastic. There is a large hose coming from the carburetor to underneath the MCV (Mixture Control Valve) and then there is another hose coming out the side.

You can disconnect the small side hose and/or the large hose and stop up the larger one. Your engine may still idle higher but is better than it loping up and down. Good Luck!

you have a blown head gasket. the compression from the engine is building up in the cooling system. this can only be caused by a blown head gasket. that is the reason for the overheating as well.

Cold engine settings Inlet 0.10mm Exhaust 0.25mm.

for the 2.3 sohc its on the back of the valve cover

It's on the front of the motor, kinda towards the bottom of the block. You have to take the timing belt cover off to replace the water pump.

You need to pull the steering wheel and clean the contacts at the turn signal lever itself. Reference the manual for pulling the steering wheel and then be carful not to lose any of the small parts in the signal switch. Should take about 20 minutes to fix.

First you take the front grill off. there should be clips that you unhook to take the grill off. then theres screws on the side of the headlight. you take a Phillips swrew driver and adjust them. to adjust them easily, you pull your truck so it's pointing a garage or a wall. you have to do it at night time so you can adjust them. and just tighten or loosen the bolts.

Drop the fuel tank or remove the bed.

If the core is leaking water into the floor board on the inside of the car it is bad,check to see if your floor mat and/or carpet is wet if so replace.If the core is clogged up it is bad. Feel the heater hose under the hood ( there are two of them one beside the other) after the engine is hot both hoses should also be hot. If only one is hot the core is plugged. Disconnect both hoses from the engine and try to flush the core with a water hose ,spray into one hose water should come out the other. If water is not coming out other hose replace core. A 1994 Isuzu NPR has the 4BD2 engine 4 cylinder turbo.

Can also be found (as a Chevy W-4 Tiltmaster; same chassis and a lot of common parts as NPR) with a Chevy 5.7L engine and 4L80E transmission.
