"Working hard" would be putting in lots of effort to get the task done, sometimes with physical effort and long hours, some of it possibly being not very efficent. "Working smart" is doing the same task by making and implementing a plan--including steps that may be an innovation in procedure, improving efficiency and reducing costs to perform the task. In the interview, you will want to give them some numbers referring to your accomplishment. So, you would say you saved X number of hours by doing it the new way and produced X percent more of the product or got more done. If you can add that you were able to get other employees to cooperate in the effort, that would also be a good thing.

This is one of the types of question that you may get at an interview; they are intended to get you to talk about yourself in a fairly informal manner. The questions are usually about some aspect of your own life so it is not possible for anyone else to answer them for you.

If you are talking about punctuality in a context of time then it is very important. My work has a policy that "if you show up on time, then you are five minutes late." Meaning, they would like you to show up at least five minutes early and so when going in for a job interview I would do just that since showing up on time shows you have respect for the employer and value their time and time in general, this also shows responsibility. If you mean punctuality as in accuracy in information given to the employer than this is also just as important. Any information given to the employer must be honest, and exact but just answer any question to the very best of your ability.

Depending on what country and sometimes State/Province you're in there are questions that are legal, or illegal and they can differ. So its important to know what you're rights are depending on where you're applying a job.

First and foremost, everything you do on the job should be in strict alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the organization, and appropriately using the resources available to you (within your job description) in achieving those goals and objectives.
