you should be able to just stick a funnel into the top of the dipstick (transmission) and add the fluid through there you cant just anwer that question assuming its a automatic... if its a 5 speed there is a fill plug in the front of the tranny

3400 V6: Release tension on Belt Tensioner & remove Serpentine Belt from Power Steering Pulley. Place a large pan under the engine & lots of paper towels under the pump to catch the mess... With a Turkey Baster (borrowed from the wife!!!), remove as much fluid as you can from the Resivore???. Remove the PSF lines from the Pump. Through the holes in the pulley, remove the 3 mounting bolts. Installation is reverse. Fill the reservoir & put the cap on. Jack the car to clear the wheels of the ground. Start the engine & gently steer the wheels from stop to stop until you're sure there's no air left in the system. Lower the car, recheck the fluid level & clean up your mess. Give the wife back her turkey baster!!! As for the 3800 V6, it might be a good idea to remove first the Coolant Reservoir & the Alternator for access.....

The fuel Pump is located inside fuel tank. To access the fuel pump, it's right behind rear seats (folding down forward) in the trunk area. Take off the carpet or cover, use phillip driver to remove all the nuts , and disconnect electrical connectors. A fuel pump is inside fuel filter (black caliper) that attaches to fuel assembly. Fuel filter is to be purchased at KIa Dealership, however fuel pump can be bought at any Auto Part Stores (namely Advance Auto, Auto Zones, NAPA, etc..) Be extremely cautious when working on Fuel Pump - No Smoking Otherwise you could be burned alive

Your evap canister is located on the drivers side behind your rear wheel, jack up that side, 12mm socket to release bracket, pliers to release 4 hoses and make sure you use some masking tape to label each hose as you pull it off 1,2,3,4. While you are under there, track all incoming lines back as far as you can go and disconn both sides and give them a quick blow through with an air gun, as the charcoal from your old canister has migrated through all of your lines and is working its way through the system. Also pull off CCV while you are in there and give it a clean with carb cleaner, and check all vacuum hoses for cracks. trust me, its easier to do it all at once.

Mine was leaking too and the way I was told to find out is to pop the hood and have one person watching while another starts the car and then turn the steering wheel. If it is your pressure hose you will see fluid squirting out.

Remove the key from the ignition before locking. It is to prevent the keys from being locked in the car.

In the trunk you will find the break lights. Gently turn connecter to expose the bulb simply take out the bulb and replace.

Remove the cover on the top of the engine. On the top middle there's a short hose that comes out of the intake and the pcv valve is at the end of it.

It is a very good car. Kia has definitely improved its standards with car quality. I highly recommend if you looking for a good affordable car the best choice would be the 2012 Optima. The other Kia's are great too; the Cerato, Serento, Rio, Soul and Sportage .

Take it to a Kia dealership to have it properly diagnosed, but it could be dirty fuel injectors. Change to a higher grade of fuel to assist with the cleaning until you can get them professionally done. (I'm not a professional... so what they say will supersede anything I've typed here)

to change the spark plugs first take off the plastic cover on top of the motor, the spark plugs are on the center of motor you see two coils on top of the two center spark plugs and two spark plugs wires going to the out side spark plugs you pull the wires off and you need a long socket wrench or a spark plug socket with extension bar to take it off, also you need to pull the coils to replace the center spark plugs they are under the coils.

NOTE. this is for a four cylinder engine.

It usually means you left the gas cap off, didn't tighten it, or the gasket around the cap is leaking. Try that first. If that doesn;t fix the problem, there is a leak in the system somewhere and unless you are a trained mechanic, you will not be able to repair it.

Depends four cylinders have 4 and six cylinders have 6 is the only two motors the optima have.

Open your ashtray grip your fingers under the black bezel that raps around your stereo and AC controls. Now pull bezel from where your ashtray is it will pop out then work your finger in to the top there are 4 clips that hold it in place 2 on the bottom and 2 at the top left and right side be gentle with it. There is no screwdriver needed to remove bezel but you will need a phillips driver for the stereo. This is for a 2002 KIA OPTIMA.

It is normal in cold weather, it's just the knock sensors. If however, it still ticks after engine is warmed up, e.g after driving for 20-25 minutes, get someone to look at it.
