Find that car in a wrecking yard and then get the amp and the wiring harness and clip the harness so you have enough wire to splice the same colors together. Radio Shack has match melt solder strips and heat shrink tubing to make the splicing easy. Or at this point probably cheaper to just rewire the whole stereo system with an aftermarket system
And if your thinking about using a mark 7 factory amp for somthing else you wasting your time most normal head units produce as much power as that, your question is a little unclear i guess is what im trying to say.

Most autoparts stores have the ECM. But you may also have to change out the Pickup located inside the distributor which requires the distributor to be taken apart buy removing the gear. Or you can buy a rebuilt distributor but make sure is matches the old ones gear. Some gears are made from the wrong metal and break (HO vs non HO engines). Make sure you have a book with picture before attempting to do this. In my experience I paid $400 to have the ECM changed and the problem ended up being with distributors pickup (the 87 LSC would randomly not start) after doing the job, I took it to a professional to get the engine timed($60)-I just could not get it to work right(high idle no power). Always use premium gas.

I would check the timing (sounds like the car is pinging) first put some premium gas in it if that doesn't work then check the timing! What I did on my car was power time it, while someone is holding the brake real tight rev up the eng to about 2000 RPM then slowly turn the distributer till you hear the pinging then turn it back slightly till it stops and you will have the total amount of timing you can run! If you use regular gas the car will not peform good from a stop on acceleration! These cars have to run on premium gas if you have the 5.0 HO engine (Mustang GT Engine) they put this eng. in all Mark vii's 1988 and up! If this doesn't work then you have another problem???????

there is a tool if you don't have it you can make one. there are 2 small holes on each end of radio. take a metal clothes hanger an make 2 u shaped pieces that align with these holes they insert almost a inch on each side grab the u tools stick them in holes to push release clips. with tools in wiggle the tools side to side while pulling out at the same time once radio come out a bit you can grab it with your hands
