Coil Pack failures are very common in models from 1999-2000. This will lead to unsteady idle, misfires, and Check Engine Lights, in some cases, blinking Check Engine Lights which are the most critical.

Coil Pack failures need to be addressed quickly. Weak spark to the spark plugs can lead to much more fuel left unburnt in the engine, passing directly to the catalytic converter. This shortens the catalytic converter's life considerably, possibly even ruining it enough to raise another Check Engine Light requiring it to be replaced for several hundred dollars (US Dollars!).

There are several online vendors that sell 1999-2000 coil packs. They typically run online for about $260. This includes 2 ignitors and the coil pack bracket/assembly. (See links below for recommended vendors). However, some vendors sell only the ignitors that you can easily replace for a more competitive price.

Replacing the coil pack is not difficult. It is only held by 3 bolts, and 2 electrical plugs. (see below for a tutorial link).

This applies to all disc brakes as far as I know. If the piston is a cup, hollow where it presses against the brake pad it will just push back in with a C clamp. If the face of the piston is flat with either a groove across or an hour glass shape it screws in. There is a cube shaped tool available with different patterns on each side for the different types.

the rear ones are Combo, meaning have internal drums in addition to the disk pads. This is a bitt bigger than you think as you need to REMOVE the disks to access the inside drum brakes.

could be a bad water pump or the thermostat. i would check the thermostat first for two reasons one its cheaper some where between 8 and 15 dollars and also more likely to fail

Follow the wires from the spark plugs and they will go to the distributor unless the engine does not have one and has a coil pack.

The easiest way is to release the cable from the transmission under the car. It is a small plastic clip. Very simple task to pop it loose with a straight blade screwdriver. NOTE!, make sure you set the parking brake or block the wheels FIRST so you don't run yourself over.

My 2001 Millenia has had this issue almost since I got the car. It is an air bag assembly problem that nobody seems to be able to fix. I'm to the point of consulting an attorney!

The problem lies within the fact that Mazda didn't do a good job of their electronics. To conbat the light you need to look under the drivers & passengers seat. You will see a white connector under there unplug them both for about 20 second with the car off. This should solve the problem.

You have to pull off the front bumper 1st. Then after you pull off the front bumper, then you have to disconnect the whole light from the car. After that you can replace the bulb.

Crawl under the front of the car and there are actually 2 radiators... The front very thin one is for the transmission. the thicker one is for the engine. On both sides there is a black plastic plug One or both of them have the fitting for a very large Phillips head screw driver.

Unscrew that for your answer. usually the drain is on the passengers side.

could be a blown fuse or you could check by the break caliper your abs lines are there make sure the lines are not broke ripped torn etc. the lines lead to an abs sensor check the sensors make sure they are functioning properly

I should note, I'm decent at car repair, and have recently (2000 miles ago) changed the entire top portion of the engine, and the transmission. It's a 4 cylinder `94 topaz. I'm thinking it may be a piston rod, but, am still unsure. and what you may need for your car is a tune job and for that you might want to buy some new mufflers for your car and that will make it noisy they way you like it

next to it is a row of 4 solenoids. the second from the right is vent, the fourth is vacuum

they clip on, but you will probably break them the first time you remove them. then, you will see how they attach.

could be a rod bearing, a main bearing, fuel octane too low, valve rocker arm too loose, transmission filter needs changing, timing advanced too far

My 2000 S does occasionally experiences the same thing. I simply tap (not too hard, but firmly) on the filler door near the back, and it somehow causes the pin to release the next time you activate the release. tapping worked on and off for me as well('95 S),but there is a lever attached to the solenoid - you have to remove the inner trunk panel on the backside of the filler door and feel by hand to locate it. I then attached a cord to it and put back the panel leaving the cord dangling - when stuck just pop the trunk and pull the cord - works every time. Also the solenoid for some reason started to work again for no reason and then failed yet again-what a mystery!
