I don't even really want to answer this question. Keep in mind that I'm not an expert and am simply relaying my personal experience. I had 2.5 days of very light brown spotting with tiny, tiny little round things in it and then the spotting got heavier and turned more red. Very quickly after that I passed tons of bright red blood with clots and lost the pregnancy. Throughout the spotting I had mild cramps and backache. You definitely need to get in and see your doctor. They're the only person who will be able to give you the answer you need. Either way - remember that the unknown is almost always scarier than the known. More miscarriages happen during the 2nd trimester than the 3rd trimester. Technically, during the 3rd trimester is is a "spontaneous abortion" not a "miscarriage". But if you are "at 3 months" you are right in the zone of "most often".

its not commen but women have been known to get pregnant in there tubes. this is called a tuble pregnancy.if you do get pregnant in your tubes you would have to go to the hospital and they will have to untie the tubes and inplant the baby in the uterus. if you don't get help and get the baby moved into the uterus the baby will continue to stay in the tubes and die while there and you will end up miscarring and have surgery to remove. in some cases the mother dies from excess blood loss from tuble pregnancy if the matter is not taken care of quickly.

It is not required to have a D and C if you are having a miscarriage. I had a miscarriage in 2002 and my doctor asked if I wanted a D and C or if I just wanted to go home and let my body complete the process on its own. My doctor explained that most women choose to have the D and C because it offers a form of closure. You are mentally and physically able to start healing after the process.

Anything is possible, but sounds more likely that you might have an infection, possibly Chlamydia or Gonorrhea if you never had symptoms like this before. There are other problems that can cause these symptoms, advise you see your doctor and have him check you for STD's.
