Do not breathe from a tail pipe. Exhaust fumes contain many componentst that will kill you if to much is inhaled.

If there is not enough room for dual exh. because of transmission cross member. Do as I did . Take out cross member weld thick piece of metal about 9" long where exh. will be then cut a notch in cross member for exhaust. IT works wonderful!

There are several good aftermarket mufflers available for cars. You dont want to overspend on something not needed. Mufflers dont do much for performance, just helps the engine breathe and sound better. I recommend 2 1/2 in piping when picking your muffler. Flowmaster is a good product and gives a low, mean grumble as you accelerate. I have a 2004 sentra se-r spec-v and i have a silverline exhaust with 2 1/2 in piping and a high performance header, which helps with not only power, but sound and fuel economy as well. I also recommend a cold air intake or ram-air intake if you're going to do you exhaust

Walker is very good - more expensive but worth the extra money.. I've been a mechanic for years and put on alot of walker parts. Good products without a doubt.

You could have had alittle over fill spill on something hot. I would suggest you check the coolant level to make sure there the same amount of what you filled

A perfect running car produces power by changing fuel into water and CO2. The engine is warm enough that the water is normally vapor. Cold engines on a cold day may spit some water. Condensation in the muffler also causes this issue to an extent.

If it's actually white then it's water. Probably a blown head gasket. If it's got a slight blueish tint to it then it would be oil. If it's oil it will have a strong burned oil smell to it.

Most of the time, yes, unless it is flashing. A check engine light can come on for something as minor as an oxygen sensor going bad. Most manufacturers use the "Steady" for minor things and "Flashing" for serious things.

True dual exhaust is better for performance. Most cars on the road nowadays have the "fake" dual exhaust - tips only. They feed via the catalytic converter then after the rear axle - they branch into dual (or Y shaped) thus making the appearance of dual exhaust.

White smoke from the exhaust is a sign of coolant entering the combustion chamber. Most likely cause is a blown head gasket. Stop driving this vehicle until you have this repaired or you will destroy this engine.

I can't answer what the cost is to repair. But the blue-white smoke is probably oil that has run down through the valve seals while it sits overnight. With 234k (kilometers? miles?) it is not surprising at all that there might be some oil burning. No great harm done in the near future. I had this problem with an 1982 Accord and it was the valve guide seals. When they are worn oil leaks into the cylinder when the car sits and then is burned up after you start the car. I don't think the parts are expensive but unless you are pretty mechanically inclined a professional should repair it.

Typically a leak. Either you're leaking oil onto the exhaust manifold or possibly coolant. The exhaust manifold gets very hot and any oil that drips or flows to the exhaust manifold will boil off and produce smoke, much like an overheated frypan with grease in it. Note that it is possible that the oil can catch fire and cause some serious damage to the engine. You should take care of the leak as soon as possible. Alternatively, you could just go to the manual car wash and use the high pressure system to clean the engine compartment and get all of that oil out of there. It COULD be blowby, but that would need to be some pretty serious blowby.
