if it has a northstar engine, it requires a special tool to install/remove. the pump is threaded into the engine block. the store where you get the tool from should be able to point it out to you more clearly.

check the wires, if they are crossed up you get bad ilding. my aurora was idling around 1500 rpm's, but after having all the spark plugs and boots replaced it went back to around 600...see if that helps

measure the diameter of the hole for the speaker/subwoofer and the distance to each bolt hole to asure you get the right subwoofer to fit properly.

As far as I understand, metal flacks (shavings) fall into grease around the switch and complete the circut. You need to replace the switch or you could try to dis-asemble and clean(dont recomend).....

You probably have a freon leak. My guess would be along the firewall in the engine bay where your aluminum A/C lines run into the cabin. This happened to me a number of times--no matter how many times I put freon in my air still got hot less than 1-2 weeks later. The GM dealer found I had a freon leak along my firewall because of a design flaw: GM didn't take into account engine movement when they designed the location of the A/C lines. After so many years of bouncing around, the tightly strung A/C lines tend to break where they enter the cabin along the firewall. Check it out, I bet it could be your problem.

First check the 50 amp fuses in the underhood fuse block.another common thing that can cause that code is one or both of the air diverter valves(check valves)that are vaccumcontrolled by the bypass valve solenoid.these two valves get stuck and do not allow the air from the pump(smog pump)to enter the exhaust.the valves are slver,and have small tubes running into the exhaust manifolds.they have 1 vaccum hose on them. One is above the belt,near the firewall,the other is near the dr. Side of the front valve cover.use a vaccum pump to see if the valves hold vaccum after making sure the solenoid is supplying vaccum when the air pump(smog pump)turns on.another common thing that can cause that code is the air pump(smog pump). The air pump forces pressurized fresh air into the pipes/hoses and past the check valves into the exhaust manifold,accelerating catalyst operation.the spinning vanes of the air pump(smog pump)force air into the diverter valve.during accelaration air is forced through the diverter valve,the check valve,the air injection manifold,and into the exhaust stream.during deceleration the diverter valve blocks air flow,preventing a backfire that could damage the exhaust system.when needed,the diverter valve will release excess pressure to the air cleaner.the code p0410 is the secondary air injection system.the secondary air injection system reduces exhaust emissions following initial engine start up.the components of this system are the air pump(smog pump),the diverter valve,the air ditribution manifold; both known as exhaust manifold and exhaust headers,and the air check valve.the air injection system is designed to introduce clean air to the engine exhaust as it exits the exhaust manifold or exhaust headers.exhaust gases are at their hottest as they leave the combustion chambers. Introducing oxygen to the exhaust at this point allows continued burning of the fuel mixture as it travels down the exhaust system and ultimately out of the tailpipe.

Most of the time the tensioner is the wheel that runs over the top of your serpentine belt and moves as the belt moves. it is located on the front of your engine. look for something with a smooth edged wheel moving up and down while your engine is turned on.

Yes. 10w30 is recommended but it takes 8 Qts instead of your standard 5 Qts.

The battery in 95-98 Aurora are located under the back seat cushion. To access you must lift the cushion by pushing in on the bottom rim from inside towards the trunk and lift up at the same time. To remove battery cables you need a 5/16 socket, and to remove the battery retainer use a 1/2 socket.

Its cheaper to buy a regulator than to fix the old one, check Ebay they have great deals on regulators, good luck

to remove the key the vehicle not only needs to be in park but the switch which tells the ignition lock cylinder the vehicle is in park also needs to be engaged .I would start my sarch at the steering coloum and look at the swithc mechanism from the selector (either electrical or mechanical cable ) if this is not located properly then the key will not switch back enough to take out

Check all of your connections from the alternator, see if the are loose or corroded. Make sure battery cables are not loose or corroded. Check the battery ground wire connection to the body of the car also.

If everything appears OK you will need to test the alternator output or have it tested. You may need to replace the alternator or voltage regulaor.

engine size would help... normally, on a 3.3 or 3.8 in the front of the block just below the water pump, you'll see a wire coming from the back side and a single bolt with an 8mm head on it holding it in. More than likely if it is a 3.3 or 3.8 engine the magnet on the camshaft sprocket has come off or the timing chain is flopping.
