How to remove power steering pump pulley of a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue?
You need a Z7 clutch puller.
There is not a lot of info on it being a Z7.
There was a lot of trial and error on my part when I did this.
They are not that much.
You can get them at Oreillys.

How do you charge air conditioning on a 1999 Oldsmobile intrigue?
The Freon is added through the low side ac port. A pressure gauge is used to show when the system is full. Follow the Freon can directions closely.
How do you change the coolant on a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue completely?
I recently had to flush my entire cooling system because sediments started forming around the radiator cap, preventing fluid transfer to/from the coolant reservoir. In the process I also replaced the water pump. This is how I did it: 1. I started off with disconnecting the lower radiator hose from the radiator and letting all the coolant escape from the radiator and the engine block. To catch the fluid I used a "tub" made from an old fuel tank sliced in half (horizontally). 2. After all the fluid drained, I reattached the lower radiator hose and filled the system with pure water. I started the engine and let it reach normal temperature. The idea was to use clean water and the old water pump to dissolve and dislodge as much of the sediment as possible. 3. Go to 1. five more times. 4. Once the draining water was clean enough to my liking, I disconnected the two small hoses from around where the power steering pump is located. These go to the heat exchanger in the passenger compartment. I used a water hose to flush out the fluid in the heat exchanger, blowing it in one of the small hoses and catching it out the other. Then I reattached them back. 5. I removed the water pump from the engine block (see here for instructions on how to do that: http://www.faqfarm.com/Q/How_do_you_replace_a_water_pump_on_a_1998_Oldsmoblie_Intrigue_3800_6_cylinder_engine_when_all_bolts_will_come_out_except_the_one_behind_the_power_steering_pump) and used a water hose to flush the little bit of the engine compartment that gave me access to. I then installed a new water pump. 6. Because of all the sediments, I also had to remove the small hose from the radiator cap to the coolant reservoir (it was plugged solid) and the reservoir itself. I cleaned them to the best of my abilities (using a water hose and an air compressor) and put them back in. 7. Last two items replaced were the radiator cap and the thermostat (located at the end of the upper radiator hose at the engine block; you need to remove the metal "elbow" with the bleeding valve to replace the thermostat). 8. I filled the entire system with a 50/50 mixture of DexCool-compatible coolant (silicate-free) and tap water (though I'd recommend distilled water). 9. I started the engine and let it warm up a little (but not all the way to normal temperature). I used the bleeding valve in the thermostat elbow to let the air out of the system. This was a few weeks ago. I haven't actually looked into the system recently to see e.g. what the coolant looked like or whether the sediments were plugging up the radiator cap again -- rest assured, I'll do that before the hot days of summer are here. Maybe even tomorrow ;) Words of caution: do not mix DexCool (silicate-free) antifreeze with the ordinary green stuff, these two apparently don't work well together and cause the sediments to precipitate and cause problems. Hope this helps! Pete, driving a '98 Intrigue with 171k miles on it.
I have a 1999 Oldsmobile intrigue and the fan does not work at all no ac no heat no nothing?
I would start by checking the fuse, the relay, and the connector on the blower itself.
How do you pull a fuse from under the hood of a 99 intrigue?
they usually come with a small plastic tool that looks like a pair of tweezers that's in the fuse panel if not a small pair of needlenose pliers should do. careful don't squeeze too hard with pliers
How can you tell if a fuse is blown?
There are many ways to tell if a fuse is blown. The most obvious way of telling is if it doesn't work.
Where is the O2 sensor for bank one located on a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue GL?
Generally, if bank one O2 sensor has failed, bank 2 will fail soon, assuming it's either a V6 or V8. Inline engines only have the front O2 sensors. It's a good idea to do both at the same time if it's V configuration engine. They are on the exhaust manifold, right before the connection to the headpipe. It will be the only thing connected to the exhaust that has wires.
Where is the voltage regulator in an 1998 Oldsmobile intrigue?
It's built in to the circuitry of the alternator. It's not serviceable separately.
How do you replace blower motor in 2001 Olsdmobile Intrigue?
The blower is below the dash on the passenger side. Remove the cover (two screws) and lower it to reveal the blower assembly. There are three bolts holding the blower on, and are a bit difficult to get at, especially the back one. You will need an extension bar for your socket set. The blower motor has a locking connector that is also a little tight to get off, but after that it drops right out. Replacement is reverse of this process.
How do you install a crankshaft position sensor on a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue?
This is a quick answer. Its above the starter going into the side of the block. (front side of the engine) Disconnect the battery. Remove the starter. Remove the wore plug into the sensor. The sensor has 1 bolt holding it in. Remove the bolt, you may have to wiggle the sensor at the base a bit as you pull it out. Replace, and make sure it is pushed in all of the way. Replace the bolt, wire plug, starter, reconnect the battery. If you have ever removed or replaced a starter this is cake, that is the hardest part of the job. Rich
How to replace blower resistor in 2002 olds intrigue?
A blower resistor can be replaced, in your 2002 Oldsmobile, by removing the resistor wiring. Remove the retaining screws. Reverse the process to install the new resistor.
I have seen this problem before. It sounds like it could be the fuel pressure regulator. They are typically located on the fuel rail. If your car is blowing black smoke and missing and is hard to start, that is a good indication that it might be the problem. You can test this by getting a fuel pressure tester and hooking it to the fuel port on the fuel rail. Turn on the key (do not start) and it will build pressure. If the pressure drops off, it may be the fuel pressure regulator. It's a cheap and simple fix. A vacuum line and a bolt is all that holds them in.
How do you replace the ignition switch on 1987 ford f250 non tilt steering wheel?
This is not a hard job. I myself have an 87 ford and i just did this! dont rip apart your steering wheel! first remove the bolts where the shaft goes through the fire wall! there is like 8! Then pop the hood and there is one bolt on the steering shaft take that off. Next remove the aluminum plate in the shaft the steering wheel should fall, pull in completely off, but before that disconnect the wires that go into the harness(ignition switch). There is a rod that goes into the switch which turns the truck on and the radio and so forth! Take off the 2 bolts holding the switch in! Becareful not to break them. Then put the new switch in adjust it to neutral with the little wire they give you. Be really careful tightening the switch to the shaft. If you snap thosebolts you will have to get a whole new shaft! Then adjust the switch so when you turn the ignition everything works like normal then tighten the switch to the shaft and reverse the steps for reassemble!
How do you change a water bypass hose in a 1998 Oldsmobile intrigue?
You have to remove the tensioner assembly, not just the tensioner pulley, but the whole assembly, in order to access the plastic bypass hose. Be very careful, as these pipes get old, the plastic becomes brittle, and possibly the flange end will break off and remain in the block when you remove the pipe, check the block opening carefully to remove all of the remaining flange. Also, be very careful when removing the lover pipe nipple into the engine block, if you try to pry the tensioner assembly off the block, you will probably snap off the machined nipple that locates into the block, Ask me how I know!!! Good Luck, it can be done but you need to move carefully and deliberately. (by the way, a rebuilt tensioner assembly costs about $80 US, the pipe is about $6. New tensioner assembly comes with the pipe)

Where do you find the flasher for a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue?
It is right behind the hazard flasher switch on the dashboard, remove the air outlet to the right of it, just pops out with a straight screw driver. The switch /flasher is a solid state device.
How do you add freon to a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue?
it is added to the suction side. Identified by compairing the lines of the A/C system the LOW side is always bigger then the HIGH side line. NEVER add freon to the HIGH side... Late models do not have a sight glass telling you when it is full, now days you HAVE to weigh the freon before you add it, thusfor the system must be drained and vaccumed down to 30 in for at least 30 min. Yea you can get a can and a hose and just add but this is DANGEROUS! Rick ASE L-1 Master TransMichigan.com
