The brand of oil is not as important as the weight, which would be 10W30 in most of the US. The other important point is changing the oil often enough. The brand, per your question, is a personal choice based on previous experience (and sometimes family tradition). My personal favorites are Valvoline, Castrol, and Mobil (synthetic or not). I find that Pennzoil (non-synthetic) has a higher paraffin content, leading to more internal buildup. Kendall has higher detergents, but doesn't hold up to abuse as well: you might use it for one oil change or two just to clean things up. Brand should not matter, but make sure it is rated SAE/APC-SJ or better (most all are, but some rip-off cheap brands do not have this rating). The WEIGHT is 10W-30. I buy whatever name brand is on sale, and all have worked fine (Valvoline, Castrol GTX, Quaker State, Pennzoil, etc).

The turn signal fuse in on the fuse panel located on the right (passenger) side of the dash. Open the passenger door and remove the panel on the side of the dash to expose the fuses. The turn signal fuse is on the left side of the fuse panel. The owner's manual has a map of fuses (pg 6-66).

Either in the "Power Center" under the hood on the passenger side strut tower, or in the in-cabin fuse center on the passenger side. Open passenger front door and there's a fuse panel door to pull off on the side of the dash.

The above answer is incorrect. The turn signal flasher is incorporated into the hazard warning switch on the dash. You have to remove the vent next to the hazard warning switch to get the unit out. The entire unit must be replaced.

Bring to ashop that has an ABS scanner to determine the problem

Mine did this, and it was a wheel bearing that was bad. As soon as I replaced it, the lights went off and have stayed off. I went to a mechanic shop and they hooked it up to a special computer to see what it was. It costs about $35 to have it checked. The wheel bearing itself was anywhere from 89-329 depending on how good you want one to be.

STEP 1: Remove the console top
Open the console arm-rest and remove the two bolts near the latch.
Lift the console from the now un-bolted end and carefully pry up from opposite end (there are 4-6 tensioning-pins holding the remainder of console top.
BE CAREFUL - you have a plug in the console top for the traction control.
Lift up the console top and adjust it out of the way.
STEP 2: Remove the shifter position indicator
If you're REALLY god at working in small spaces, you MIGHT be able to remove the bulb socket from the shift indicator without removing it, but realize you have to turn/twist the bulb socket about 90 degrees and then pull down.
The bulb is on the driver's side of the shift indicator. Remove the indicator by removing four bolts and lifting up slightly to gain access. Twist the bulb out of the indicator module, replace bulb, and return bulb socket into the shift indicator.
Turn ignition key on to assure the new bulb is working properly.
STEP 3: Reassemble the console
Place the shift indicator module back in place and put in the four bolts.
Set the console top tension-pins into place and press back down working from dash-end back to console glovebox compartment.
Insert the two console-top bolts back in at latch area of console glovebox.
DONE!

I am nearly 100% certain it is NOT in the interior console.

It is likely the electronics you see mounted on the top of the transmission under the hood, drivers side, right where the cable bolts onto the lever. There is a bulkhead there with 2-3 plugs going into it. This is what you are probably looking for.

The first sign is a growling sound coming from the front end. If, When you turn right the sound goes away or is greatly reduced it is probably the left hub. Turn left and sound goes away, right hub. Now that you know which hub to check jack the car so the tire is about 2 inches off the ground and take the lug wrench, slip the end under the tire and and lift it up and down. If the wheel assembly appears to be a little loose you have a bad hub. If you really can't tell, it's time to get an experienced mechanic involved. You are going to need an experienced mechanic to change it out anyway so nothing is lost at this point. Good luck

Open the center console and you will see two small bolts towards the front of this compartment(right behind the cup holder). Remove these bolts and the entire center console front of the open compartment should come right out. Now the bezel in front of the radio will snap right out(be careful not to break it especially in cold weather, it is just plastic and can break easily). Now there are just a few bolts that hold the actual radio in. Remove these and the radio will slide out and you can disconnect the wires and such on the back.

I just replaced the resistor on my '98 Intrigue- it's quite possible they are located similarly. The resistor is located under the dash on the passenger side, right behind the blower. I had to pull the blower out to gain better access to the resistor assembly. There is a short cable assembly that connects the resistor to the blower so if you look for the two wires that come out of the back of the blower they should lead you right to the resistor.

The resistor is very hard to get to because of the hex head screws being right up against the floorboard but you only need to loosen the two back screws and remove the one in front to be able to pull the resistor assembly out. If you can get a small 5/16" socket on the screw heads you should be able to loosen them enough. There will be a larger cable assembly plugged into the resistor also. The whole procedure took me about a half hour, not a bad job but just hard to maneuver down there. !

Many auto manufacturers engage the AC compressor when the defroster is used because the AC system also dries the air. In a humid environment the drying effect of the AC can help keep the windshield clear.

It is a part made of steel, but the mounting bolt holes are encased in rubber or polyurethane. It holds the engine to the frame or body of a vehicle, and it helps absorb vibration. If the mount has no rubber, or the rubber is gone, vibration will be the big symptom. They come in many shapes, from a small square to a dog bone shape, to a huge block. A motor mount is the attachment point for the engine. In Intrigues there are two lower ones and an upper one. Usually these will not fail for the life of the car, but occasionally the rubber grommet cushions in them may deteriorate, leading to rattling and clunking sounds.

Try taking the hose off the back side of the spray nozzel and see it there is fluid there. It may just be the nozzel plugged. A couple of strands of fine copper wire from an extention cord will usually clear the hole in the nozzel. The pump is located on the bottom of the windshield washer reservoir but before you take it off, listen to see if you can hear it running. If you can't hear it run, replace the pump; if you can hear it run, the hose or squirter buttons may be clogged and will need to be cleaned out.

Usually because the alternator has failed. Drive it that way long enough and you'll need a new battery, too. Something in your charging system has "gone south". Probably the alternator, but could be the battery itself. Have your system tested to find out what. If your car seems to start and run fine, even after several trips, it may possibly be an errant diagnostic code, but this is very unlikely. One simple test you could do if you have a volt meter is to measure the battery voltage with the car off and with it running. Low battery off (below 13V) with running voltage high (over 13.2V) probably points to the battery having a weak cell or two. The opposite condition (13.2V off, below that running) points to the alternator being the culprit. The alternator has the voltage regulator inside it, so it comes as a package.

Front side is easy. just the boots need care to loosen and remove the motor mounts in the front must be un coupled. use a crowbar in the mount to lean the engine forward to get enough room to put wrench and hand behind the engin against the fire wall. a second person must be untilized. do pull too much forward or the motor mounts will be damaged.

This is a common problem. The alternator can be replaced with an aftermarket one that I've heard fixes the problem. I have been living with my flickering Intrigue as it doesn't seem to be too bad unless it is pretty cold.

Tis true! There's a tech bulletin at the dealer that lists the new part, but the new part runs almost $400.

Blowing air and lack of heat are two separate agendas. If you have air circulating, your blower is fine. The heat in most auto heaters comes from hot water being circulated from the coolant system .i.e. radiator (cool), engine block(hot), through the heater,(hot), back to the radiator,(cool).

Some where you have an interuption in this system.

It's located under the leaf screen. Remove the wiper arms, the the leaf screen. The wiper pivot arms connect to the wiper motor. The leaf screen, by the way, is the louvered part through which the wiper pivots protrude. Sorry, I didn't read the question correctly. You asked about the windshield washer motor which is located under the passenger side front fender apron. Look under the lower front inside the apron.

It's likely there is a leaky air duct at some point behind the dash.

Here is the solution. Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for a least five minutes. Open BOTH drivers and passenger FRONT doors and leave them open. Re-connect the negative battery cable. Shut doors and start the car. Your air should work fine. This ridiculous procedure re-sets the module that controls the A/C & heat distribution. Only GM engineers would come up with this one!!
