Having lived through both events in different cars myself, the tell-tale signs vary depending on where the crack is, not just if it is block or head gasket. Sometimes when it happens it is horribly obvious, like smoke billowing out the tailpipe, while other times it is almost unnoticable. A tiny crack in the wrong place can be worse than a larger crack in other spots. Some folks think their block is cracked when they notice coolant leaking out. This can be from a crack in an engine casting plug or a bad radiator hose, which is relatively easy to fix compared with real crack issues as discussed below. A crack in the head gasket or block between the water jacket and cylinder causes coolant to exit through normal engine combustion, and/or blow-by to enter the coolant. Indications you have this include one or more of the following: the formation of a grey sludge on the PCV valve and oil filler cap (things that have exposure inside the valve covers); discoloration of the coolant; a whitish coating formed on the inside of the tailpipe or on the affected spark plug(s); loss of coolant over time; coolant being pushed out the overflow tank as the engine warms; overheating of the engine due to the loss of coolant; passenger compartment heater quits working caused by the large air bubble in the cooling system, smoke out the tailpipe (usually whitish or grey). A crack between an oil galley and cylinder usually causes horrific smoking out the tailpipe, and discoloration of the oil. A crack between oil gally and water jacket is less common, but has similar problems as a cylinder crack, but usually no smoking. Most of the time the head gasket is where the crack is, although it is possible in the head or block itself. Also, a "warped head" can do the same thing when the head becomes distorted due to excessive heat. The fixes depend on what is wrong, but in any case it won't be cheap. A cracked head gasket fix at a shop is likely to run over $500 if they do the job right, and probably more if they rebuild both heads. A cracked block and you are looking at more major costs, up to a new engine at $3000 or so. I have nursed some headgasket cracks along for quite a while using block sealer, but ultimately only a replacement will work. I also suspect that the block sealer plugs up other openings that may cause more trouble than it is worth.

I have Olds Intrigue 2000. Lately Blower started acting up. Stops working, an hour later it will start working again. Making shrieking / squicking sounds, speed changes
while driving. Using 5.5 mm. socket I removed the old motor. (Not very difficult.)
Wiring harness is a bit tricky to unhook. (!!!Do not touch the orange clip!!!)
Use screwdriver to push the Black Clip in.
Inside the old motor I found brushes are completely worn out. Needed new motor.
Replacement Motor:
In Riverview Florida: Napa and Pep Boys have Chinese made blower, just different stickers on them. In my case Napas had wrong connector type, Pep Boys unit had no connector at all.
Local Chevrolet parts department and Advance Auto Parts had similarly looking part
with more or less right connector type, just different stickers. Both made in Canada.

Locating the blower in a 99 intrigue
it is located on the passenger side just pull down the carpet and it is sitting right there, i believe you will need a 5/16 socket to undo the scews. I will let you know more after I have replaced mine this weekend. Good luck.
You can access the motor bushings through the drain hose hole in the side once the motor is taken out. The motor is located below the glove box behind a panel. Remove the panel (three snap fasteners), and you will see the motor. Three hex head screws hold it in. You also must disconnect the blower by pulling the connector apart. The connector is one of those snaplocks, use a screwdriver to pull down the orange clip to release the connector.
It is located under the dash behind and below the glove box. Remove the screws holding up the dress panel to expose the blower assembly. There are three small bolts holding the blower into the plenum. Disconnect the blower connector first, then remove the bolts to drop the blower out of the plenum. INstall is reverse of this.
Note - if the blower is just noisy, you may try cleaning it out with WD-40. The motor has brass bushings that squeal really loud if a little dirt gets in them. I thought I'd have to replace my squalking blower, but a little WD-40 did the trick - my original is still running fine a year later.

Its def the sending unit, it comes with the fuel pump, auto-zone 255.00, dealer 400+. But, what is so cool is that you do not have to remove the gas tank, there is a door in the trunk (like volkswagons) remove some screws, remove that (under the carpet) then you can remove the whole pump and sending unit, takes about 20-25 min, but keep rags or ? for any gas drips. may need tool to separate the fuel lines and also relieve the fuel pressure if replacement is needed. I was suprised to see the door on a GM. But its a good idea !
AnswerYour fuel sending unit is probably bad. This won't affect your car, other than leaving you in the dark as to how much gas you have. Fixing it involves replacement of the sending unit, which often is mounted in the fuel tank on a stem. I haven't needed to do this on my '99 Intrigue, but usually getting to it requires removal of the fuel tank. The part itself is usually about $50-$100. It may be possible to repair the sending unit once you see what has gone wrong and how it is constructed.How do you reprogram passlock?

2. Wait for the "Theft Sys" light stays on without blinking. This normally takes ten (10) or so minutes.

The "park" signal on the wiper motor is off. The wipers should stay off their cradles about an inch or so. If the ignition key is turned off during an intermittent wipe, the blades may stay at some position on the windshield. They'll return as soon as the next cycle comes up after the ignition is turned on. If they do not behave this way, you likely have a bad wiper motor assembly, which has the control circuit that parks the blades.

You will have to clean off as much of the old glue as possible, then use a glue made specifically windows and situations like this - I think it is urethane based, and should be available at auto parts stores.
Do this with the window up, and make sure you have everything in exactly the right place, operating the window to make sure. Once it is in place, leave the window up for at least a day or two to be sure the glue sets properly. A window being "off track" is often a case of the glue that bonds to the the glass simply wearing out over time and with use.

It will not read zero on a digital multimeter, it will read as a maximum resistance.
A fuse, when good, has zero (practically speaking) resistance. When it blows, it has infinite resistance, thus on a multimeter it will provide a high reading.... When an analogue (not digital) multi-meter is set to ohms it will read zero when blown. If you touch both leads off the meter it will read full scale. if the leads are NOT touching the meter will read zero. so if your fuse is blown it will act like the leads are not touching because it is blown. It is good practice not to touch the exposed lead ends or the fuse under test as the resistance of your body can give a false reading.
The ohm scale on an analog multimeter is reversed...when the meter is at the far left, what you might think is zero, it is indicating infinite resistance. When you try and determine the resistance of a fuse that is blown, the meter will not move from the left side of the scale. That is not zero resistance. That is infinite resistance.
