What is wild dagga and why would a teenage order it off the internet?

Wild Dagga is smoked or made into a medicinal tea by the Hottentot tribe of South Africa. Because of its euphoric effects, Wild Dagga is often referred to as a Cannabis substitute. How do you properly list works cited?

Depends on teacher and subject

It depends on the style asked for. One is the APA (American Psychological Association) style. The other most used one is MLA. Either of their sites lists specific rules. Each is very different, and very specific about how to do a reference page (which is what you are doing when you are listing works cited).

Every author you cite in your paper must be in the reference list, and vice versa. So check and see what the specific teacher or professor wants, in terms of style. APA and MLA also have very good manuals in hardcopy. There is also a style known as the "Chicago Style", but it is not used as much as the other two. Again, it all depends on your subject and course requirements.

Is it illegal to steal a snowman?

No. However, to do so entails "criminal trespassing", which may be a crime.

Anyone who spent his time in the snow to make it would not want some clown to steal it.

The builder could be mad and happy at the same time...because in a day or so, the snowman will be a messy pile of slush.

But The Evidence Melted

Since he's (or she's) technically a man (woman), the theft would actually be considered kidnapping.

Why are people dishonest and untrustworthy?

Sometimes, it is how they were brought up, sometimes its because they are immature and dont want to deal with reality, sometimes, its because it has happened to them and they are suspicious of others. Sometimes, its because it is the easier thing to do, people are desperate at times and once they start lying and decieving they have to continue to cover their tracks. NOT everyone is like this, you have to weed out the ones that are like this.

What is plagiarism and why is it a grave offense?

Plagiarism is when someone copies someone else's words, text, or work and calling it your own. Plagiarism is basically taking someone else's work and calling it your own work.

It is a grave offense because you should be coming up with your own work, and not stealing someone else's work. It is stealing of intellectual property and saying you came up with it all on your own, when you didn't, so it is considered a serious and grave offense.

Were in the world did Christian start?

Christianity is a religion evolved from the Ancient Egyptian Religion of Sun worship between 2 and 3 thousand years ago. Because of this knowledge safe to amuse it started in Egypt.

First it is important to point out that Jesus Christ as worshiped by Christians has only ever appeared in religious texts which are not considered to be a reliable source of history by main stream historians. He has never appeared in any actual historical documents and so there is considerable doubt as to whether he actually existed as described in the bible at all.

As far as the origin of Christianity goes there are many documents I can reference but the documentary "Zietguist" does this for us very well so I will quote a summary from the text:

"Furthermore, the character of Jesus, a literary and astrological hybrid, is most explicitly a plagiarization of the Egyptian Sun-god Horus. For example, inscribed about 3500 years, on the walls of the Temple of Luxor in Egypt are images of the enunciation, the immaculate conception, the birth, and the adoration of Horus. The images begin with Thaw announcing to the virgin Isis that she will conceive Horus, then Nef the holy ghost impregnating the virgin, and then the virgin birth and the adoration. This is exactly the story of Jesus' miracle conception. In fact, the literary similarities between the Egyptian religion and the Christian religion are staggering."

I recommend you watch the whole movie or read the transcript for more complete information.

How do teachers know if a paper is plagerised?

There's several ways that teachers can tell. There's software called "Turnitin" where the teachers can not only check it through software, but also run it by other teachers & professionals who are trained to detect plagiarism. The teachers can also check it against others students who they think s/he plagiarized off of. The most obvious way of detecting however, is to judge the paper's value next to how the student performs in class & for homeworks. If the student normally doesn't do well in class, goofs off constantly, and/or doesn't appear to have put forth any effort but puts in a paper that's beyond what the teacher thinks they're capable of, then they will suspect plagiarism. They also look for obvious things such as quotes from specific books & whether they are quoted correctly or not. In the end, if the teacher has even the smallest question of whether the paper is plagiarized, they will usually act upon it. Even if the charges are later dropped, an accusation will stay on your school records forever & you will be examined incredibly closely by future teachers. This is why it's so important to quote things correctly & to ensure that your paper isn't something that can be suspect.

How should you answer if a job interviewer asks why you chose to get an MBA?

The following was written by Wharton College Pennsylvania. This should help.

Why an MBA

The MBA is not an end in itself, but a means to an end. It is a degree designed to give you the ability to develop your career to its fullest potential, at an accelerated pace. What will you get out of an MBA? Aside from a powerful life experience, the MBA degree should supply three main value propositions: Skills, Networks, and Brand.

Skills

These include the "hard skills" of economics, finance, marketing, operations, management, and accounting, as well as the "soft skills " of leadership, teamwork, ethics, and communication that are so critical for effective management. MBA students acquire these skills inside and outside the classroom. Since MBA programs attract people from very diverse industries and cultures, a program should be able to leverage these differences and translate them into learning opportunities.

Networks

An MBA degree program offers access to a network of MBA students, alumni, faculty, and business and community leaders. This network can be very useful when beginning a job search, developing a career path, building business relationships in your current career, or pursuing expertise outside your current field. For example, entrepreneurs need access to capital, business partners, vendors, and clients. Arts-related businesses need access to funding and strategic management in order to position themselves to be relevant in the marketplace. Global businesses need access to local business cultures as they expand their enterprises to new territories.

Brand

The MBA degree is a recognized brand that signifies management and leadership training. The particular school and type of MBA program you attend also have brand associations that can help open doors based on the school's reputation. The strength of a school's brand is based on the program's history, its ability to provide students with technical skills and opportunities for personal growth, and the reach of its alumni and industry network. A powerful brand can give you the flexibility to make changes throughout your career.

Why is plagiarism a bad thing?

Plagiarism is when you copy someone else's written work, word for word and take the credit for the work. It's a way of cheating yourself of the knowledge (looking it up/research) and the challenge of putting it in your own words. It is also a form of theft and is illegal.

Note that if you reword slightly that, too, is plagiarism. Your written work must be in your own words. All quotations must be properly acknowledged.

Plagiarism is bad because it is dishonest and a form of theft. What's more students who plagiarize don't learn from it. The real challenge of 'looking things up' is to evaluate and synthesize ideas from two or, better still, several sources. Usually, the ability to do that shows an understanding of the issues, shows that the student has got to grips with the topic and has really tried to do the assignment.

What does plagiarism consist of?

Plagiarism takes the intellectual work, written work, or other creative work, in whole or in part, and using it without crediting the source.

The source is the "creator" of the work. So, an "author" is any person who speaks or writes words, whether handwritten or typed, whether published or unpublished.

The "work" includes anything that you, yourself, did not write, using your own words. The rule is to "paraphrase" the original, but even in paraphrasing the words can be so close that it can be considered plagiarism. This is because words are not the only part protected under the copyright; the intellectual work is also protected. This means that some topics or points are so original that they cannot be paraphrased in any fashion that sufficiently changes the creator's intellectual or written work. Consider the 1980's fast food commercial in which an older woman exclaims, "Where's the beef?" There is no acceptable way to paraphrase that slogan. To use it without crediting either Wendy's, as the specific fast food restaurant or without crediting the advertising agency would be plagiarism. And in the case of , "Where's the beef?", the plagiarism would be readily apparent.

Plagiarism also involves a notion of how much is quoted. The rule is to only use the shortest portion of a work that illustrates or defines a point you are trying to make in your own original work. For example, let's say only one person created a new definition for a newly coined phrase (this often happens in various professions). If you wanted or needed to use that newly coined phrase and it's definition, you'd only use that portion. But you would not take 3 paragraphs from that person's work and use the whole portion.

To avoid plagiarism, use only the shortest amount necessary to support the point you are trying to make. Make index cards, clearly marking parts taken as a quote; use the back of the card for your original ideas that relate to that quote. Use quote marks around any part taken from someone else's work. Mark the quote using the appropriate Style, such as (author, page number) immediately after the portion quoted. Cite the work in your bibliography using the correct Style.

TIP: Did you know that the content on every website is "intellectual property" and should be treated as being under copyright? Even the questions and answers on WikiAnswers.com and on Answers.com are "works" that should be quoted and marked as 'words not my own' in your work. For example, above I typed: "To avoid plagiarism, use only the shortest amount necessary to support the point you are trying to make." If you use that sentence in a paper you write, you would 'cite the author' as my user name, with the full question (above), and then cite WikiAnswers.com as the website on which it appeared, along with the question's URL. Students will earn better grades if they are very aware of the rules for quoting someone else's words and giving proper credit.

Are you still plagarizing if you take someone else's work but change it around?

Yes. Plagiarism is stealing. Changing around someone else's work does not make it your own original work. If you take someone's house, paint it a different color, and rearrange the furniture, it is still his house.

You can use someone else's idea to inspire you to write your own original work. Writers do that all the time. There are thousands of stories based on the idea of star-crossed lovers.

You can use quotes from someone else's work if you have permission from the original author and if you acknowledge the source of the quote.

A writer's words are copyrighted. Ideas are not.

IP is still the original copyright the case from George Harrison (my sweet lord music sound) was very similar to your question the riff of the music was similar therefor he lost his case because it wasnt his original idea but a version of from a popular song riff of another artist.
