Will pop acid eat away at a styrofoam cup?
It would appear so, however it depends on the strength of the acid and how long is allowed to stay in the cup.
This answer isn't derived from the scientific method mind you, but through casual observation. A McDonald's coffee cup over a period of weeks was used as a cup for soda. After a period of time, the bottom began weeping soda.
My conclusion is that left in a Styrofoam container, the acid in soda will eventually eat through. Though the container would likely have to be reused over and over. A single use, or even for a week shouldn't damage the container unless it's left in for a long period of time.
Why does the environment become polluted when there is a big population?

5 ways to stop water pollution?
5 ways of water pollution are throwing litter into the sea if you are at the beach because turtles can mistake a plastic bag for a jelly fish and eat it and then choke on it and die of suffocation or if they can still breath it might stop them from eating and starve them to death. Also putting things down the toilet that you not supposed to like paint and oils. There are also oil spills from boats, because fish and other animals in the sea cant breathe in oils. And if you put manure on your garden don't use to much of it because it might go through the ground and go to the nearest water source. Turn off taps when you don't need them on because this can help to stop water shortages in some countries.
I know it's not 5 but i couldn't find any more
Why was the Jones Act not suspended during the BP Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill?
(1). As of June 15, 2010, Admiral Allan announced that 15 foreign ships were working on the spill (2). The Jones act is only used for governing commerce and not for governing crisis response. It did not affect the response to this crisis(3).
Some help was refused because it was deemed that either the chemicals or processes used were either potentially dangerous to the environment or were not deemed effective. You can question the technical reasons why help was refused but make sure you understand issues before listening to talking points.
Suspension of the Jones Act consequencesSuspending the Jones Act will not help the clean-up. Rather it would:What did the government do to solve the polluted Rhine river problem?

Who was responsible of the gulf of Mexico oil spill?
There are many responsible. BP has taken most of the public blame so far.
Responsible parties include:
BP (operator and primary developer): not ensuring proper safety standards on the rig. Continual lying about the extent of the spill.
Transocean (personnel): ran the oil rig incorrectly. Workers either not trained effectively enough, were overworked or did not have the right expertise.
Halliburton (contractors): were in charge of cementing the Macondo well.
The government: for not having stringent enough safety laws.
Government inspectors: accused of being corrupt, and having taken bribes or 'gifts' to look the other way.
Coast Guard: understated or lied about the result of the accident, may have possibly delayed clean-up efforts.
The operator of a drilling operation, in this case, BP, has full responsibility for accidents occurring as a result of drilling and cementing. Generally, the operator is given all the information and has final approval of actions on the rig.
Now, there are a number of ongoing investigations which might find that the reasons for the blow out was in part due to a failed blow out preventer, which is manufactured by Cameron. Halliburton may be blamed in part, as they were completing a cementing operation before the accident.
The U.S. Government has named BP as the responsible party in the incident, and officials have said the company will be held accountable for all cleanup costs resulting from the oil spill.
How did you S economic prosperity lead it to pursue a policy of imperialism?
As our wealth and influence increased, so did our patriotism. Also, at this point, the global scene was very bleak economically and tensions were high world-wide. Our sense of pride was telling us that if we were becoming more successful and everyone else wasn't, then we must be doing something right that others weren't. This mindset led the U.S. to believe that we needed to help others see that our system was the best one out there. (Mind you I'm not saying that this choice was right or wrong.) But this frame of mind has led us into the position where we sit today: The Global Police Force. And now that we are in it people expect us to stay there. It is a political thorn bush to get out of, and while we have a ton of problems within our own borders, there are a million problems that the world expects us to solve, all because we got caught up in our post-World War II patriotism. I'm not bashing America, I love my country, I just think we went a little over-board.
