How does one remove radio in 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis?

remove the knobs and there are nuts under then to remove. Then take the nuts from the back of it under the dash and the wiring and remove.

nice , duh

If your stereo is an integrated faceplate unit (as most post-1991s are) there should be four holes on the faceplate, 2 on the left and 2 on the right.

Check your local auto parts store and ask for a Ford Stereo Removal Tool Set. It consists of two "U" shaped pieces of wire with pointed tips. Insert the two wires into the holes in the stereo faceplate. When you feel them click, pull the stereo out of the dash.

How do you change out the radio on a 2002 Toyota Camry?

Changing Out a Camry RadioI have done some looking - on both this site and others - and have come to the conclusion that the way to do it is very similar for many of the earlier 2K's.

All the answers are variations of the following:

(begin quote of 2000 radio's answer)

Use a wide blade screwdriver and gently insert it between the plastic ring (goes around radio and ac controls) and the vinyl on the dash. Then pry the ring loose. There is about six push in clips that hold it on. That is the worst of it. the rest should be obvious. Remove 4 bolts and the 2 wire harnesses from the back. I recomend buying an aftermarket wire kit that matched the new radio to the stock harnesses. makes life much easier. walmart and parts houses carry them cheap.

(end quote)

What I suspect needs to be done is this:

On my 2002 Camry, the radio and some other controls are part of a larger assembly, and I suspect that, using the steps above to pry this assembly loose, the radio can then be removed.

In my case, a CD appears to be stuck in the CD player, so I need to remove the radio to repair the CD mechanism.

I will try this later on when I get a few moments, and I will report results.

How do you unlock the code on the radio system of Honda CR-V?

First: Check the owner's manual. If you're lucky, sometimes the dealer or former owner will have written down the code number somewhere in the manual (inside the front cover or on the page that describes the radio operation are favorite places). Also check the interior of the glove compartment - sometimes the dealer will affix a sticker containing the serial number there, too.

IF NOT: You will need to retrieve the radio serial number. On SOME radios you can do this by holding down both the number 1 and the number 6 buttons simultaneously as you turn on the radio. If you have one of those radios, the serial number will appear in the tuning window when you turn it on. IF NOT: You will need to loosen the radio and slide it far enough out of the dashboard in order to get the serial number off the plate that is affixed either on the back, or the bottom, of the radio case. When you have gotten the serial number - either call the Honda Customer Service 800 number, or stop by your local Honda dealer and give them the serial number and they should be able to give you the anti-theft security code for your radio. WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU WON"T FORGET IT! This will happen every time the battery is disconnected or goes dead.

What did radio shack introduce what computer?

I think you are asking about the TRS-80. (The initials TRS stood for the corporate owner-- Tandy Radio Shack.) The TRS-80 was an early microcomputer, and it made its debut in the US in late 1977, at a cost of about $600. It quickly became popular with hobbyists, home users, and small businesses. Later, as it became perceived as somewhat dated and clunky, it was jokingly called the "Trash-80," but in its day, it was something new and exciting in personal computing.

How do you set the time on the 2002 GMC Envoy radio?

Method #1 Tune to a station that provides RDS info (Artist, Title) for about 2 minutes. Press the hour and minute setting buttons (below the volume control) simultaniously. If the station provides a time sync signal the display on the radio will show "Time Updated" Not all stations that use RDS send a time signal. You may have to try two or three to get your clock updated. Method #2 With the radio turned off press and hold the hour or minute setting button until the time display changes.

How do you remove the factory installed radio on a 1991 Lincoln town car?

You will need a set of Ford extraters. You can pick them up at Wal-Mart for around $5. They are U shaped wires with notches on each end. Then you insert one into the two holes on the right and the other on the two holes on the left until you feel them "snap" into place (if you insert them too far they will keep the tabs from unlocking), then press slighty on each tool towards the doors of the car (on the left press it towards the drivers side door) and slowly pull it out with the tools. If you don't feel like buying the tools, you can make some out of a very heavy duty coat hanger, but beware unless you notch them just right it makes it a lot more difficult to get the stereo out. Hope this helps.

WLFM is a FM radio station located at 87.7 FM on the radio dial It also it located on Channel 6 on my television How is this so?

TV channel 6's audio frequency is 87.75 MHz FM, so it's a side effect of the fact that WLFM-LP is actually a low-power TV station on analog channel 6.

Like many of these stations, the people who run WLFM are programming it as an FM radio station. "Pulse 87.7" in New York City is perhaps the most prominent example of the phenomenon.

Most modern radios "tune down" to 87.7, which is actually just before the start of the FM band (88.1).

The side effect applies to any TV station on analog channel 6. Until the June 12 digital transition, many full power channel 6 outlets were heard on 87.7 - including ABC affiliates like WPVI/Philadelphia and WSYX/Columbus. Many of those stations promoted it, reminding commuters that they could hear audio of newscasts in the car.

TV stations on digital channel 6, even if they broadcast on that actual channel (like WPVI), do not have the same ability...since it only works for analog TV.

How do you replace the light bulbs behind the air conditioning and radio controls on a 1996 Buick Park Avenue?

Cluster Lights.

Pull the black trim piece off surrounding the instrument cluster, There should be a screw on either side about 4/5ths of the way up the cluster that have to be removed, then slide the top of the cluster towards you. and the bottoms are Popped into place so it might take some playing with to pop them out but just pulling or prying with a screwdriver should work. then unplug the instrument cluster from the dash (top right hand side)and all your bulbs are located on the back..... As for the radio, i have no idea how to replace the lights on it, better off buying an aftermarket or picking up a used one from a wreckers
