As with all universal remotes, the code for this amplifier will depend upon the remote unit you have. If you have tried programming it with all of the RCA Receiver codes available, you may have to change your remote to a newer model, buy a learning remote, or use a remote like the Logitech Harmony that has a much larger code database.

The most likely code will be 10054. Other codes that might work are: 10171, 11963, 11271, 10187, 10030, 11314 or 10587.

That depends on the specific model of the alarm.

The most common and cheapest is a fluid you can buy and paint it over the suspected crack which then shows up in outline. The other methods all employ X-ray or similar and are not generally available to the individual.

you use the mini screwdriver that came with it and on the propeller should be a screw on top and you unscrew it and pop it of with the tool that came with the air hog and apply the new one and make sure its on tight and then screw the screw back in and then your done.

Your remote control has an infrared LED in the front of the unit. Because it's infrared, you can't see it, but if you point it at a video camera or a black and white camera, it's possible to see it light up. That's because the cameras can see a wider light spectrum than can the human eye.

In the remote is a microchip which controls the LED in response to the buttons you push. Each button causes the LED to pulse at a certain frequency.

In the television, is a similar computer chip and an infrared sensor which decodes these pulses and translates them into commands, which the computer chip then sends to the various sections of the TV that's involved. For instance, the volume level, brightness, etc.

I know it's a basic answer, but it's not really all that complicated. Various manufacturers have their own coding scheme and it's quite possible for a remote from one brand to operate some functions on another brand of TV, VCR, or DVD player.

You will need to upgrade the firmware. They say they are going to do it (logitech) but in the mean time, you can find a firmware upgrade. Search for the honeycomb upgrade for revue in xda-developers or in google and you will find the tutorial. It comes with the new version and google market.

As Protechnik is not a recoginzed national brand (it has been linked to 'white van' back-door sales), you are unlikely to get any universal remote control that has codes for these products. Even Logitech, who maintain the largest database of infrared codes of any remote manufacturer, do not list them.

Your only hope is to use a 'learning' remote control that can learn the codes from the original remote that you got with the unit....

Sometimes. The only reason you will usually need a key to program is for the immobilizer bypass module. Depending on the immobilizer used in the vehicle, some will require two keys to properly program the bypass module. This will depend on whether or not your vehicle has an immobilizer, and if it does, what kind it has. Professional installation is always recommended with remote starts, and the installer should be able to tell you if your vehicle requires two keys to program.

The Sony STR-D715 is a stereo receiver. What code you use will depend upon the brand of the remote you are trying to program. There isn't one number that works with every remote. Try all the Sony Receiver codes for your remote as listed in the remote's manual. If they don't work, it seems this model may be too old to be supported.

Here are some Samsung TV remote codes. 009, 0060, 0702, 0030, 0178, 0812, 0019, 0056, 0587, 0556, these codes will work for all Samsung TV's.

The code for this older Samsung TV could be: 004,005,009,015,104,105,106,109 or 172.

Search for multiple similar functions on the remote that would separate it from other.
Example : The remote in question is, TV1, TV2, VCR, SAT, CBL, AUX. So search for that.


Were it possible, I would search for 1-/11, 0/10, and 2-/12, but a Google can't search a term like that that I'm aware of.

Other radio signals. They can be from many different sources. Walkie-talkies, TV remotes, etc. Pretty much anything the broadcasts has the potential to interfere if the broadcasting channel is close to the signal band of your RC.

By rigging the cables but i wouldn't recommend that at all.

Open it, remove the battery and place the car remote in a bag with Silica Gel to dry it out completely.

Replace the battery with a NEW one and put it all back together.

Next you'll need to read the owners manual for instructions on "pairing" the remote to the car. They'll use a different term so you'll just have to look up the remote.

Typically the little door lock remotes are quite robust and can tolerate a little water but they won't operate when wet and won't operate if there is a residue left behind.
