it realies on the ABS cable front offside to work you will probably find that the cable has rubbed against the wheel and worn the cable through, i assume you have an ABS light on the dash board also Cheers Carl mrcapage"msn.com let me know

How do i time rover 75 v6 engine/

Looking face on to the engine, there is a plastic cover just below the windscreen on the left. The cover is lifted by pressing two clips in. The brake fluid reservoir can be found here.

Depends whats wrong put if power steeering fluid is leaking all over the engine its a good chance its the pump

You can find brand new pumps on eBay then get some one to fit about another 80 for fitting

the master cylinder is on top of the clutch pedal, you will need to remove cover above pedals, and you will see the reservoir cap, its not easy to get to or to take off.

Not sure the age of this post, but I had mine done for £550. That included the new uprated gasket, engine skim, engine flush, new themostat (with small pass hole) new metal timing belt pulley's (to replace plastic ones). Seemed like a very good price, as I had been quoted £1000+. Still running round in it to day 12months after HGF !! Now have problem with a suspect camshaft sensor, I think !! :-(

maybe the switch is broken or the fuse/relay has gone??

it does not have a timing belt, it is a chain drive which should be good for the life of the car

CHECK SWITCH ON TOP OF CLUTCH PEDAL AS IT SOMETIMES GETS STUCK

You might have to take the motor mounts bolt and disconnect the exhaust after the Y and at the monifolds and lift the motor slightly to get the starter out.

It is possible that the traction control module is not working and may need replacing.

Rover 75's can be fitted with Subaru alloys. Mabe others too. Would be good to find out.
