My 2004 land rover discovery 2 doesnt work?

Could be,Failure to replace belt at recommended interval.

Idler pulleys or bearings going bad.

Faulty belt tensioner.

Replacement belt not installed correctly.

Inferior replacement belt/parts installed.

You must use new bolts. Torque to 15 lb/ft then tighten each bolt another 90° then another90° starting in the center working your way out on each step

Most likely the C.V. joint needs replacing. The grinding noise is usually a sort of clicking sensation. Another problem you might have is similar the the problem i had with my clio. when i put the steering on full lock i could hear a grinding noise. the thing i did was have my car checked by a garage and they found that the suspension had shattered. you need to get it checked.

Rover 75's can be fitted with Subaru alloys. Mabe others too. Would be good to find out.

On the rovers the first number is the series model, yours being 4 makes it a 400 series.. the last two are the engine size yours being 16 makes it a 1.6L (commonly termed as a sixteen hundred engine) hope that helps.

It means that for some reason your suspension ECU could not raise or lower your vehicle to what it felt was the appropriate height and therefore shut off the system to spare the other parts from being damaged. Could be leaking bag or bad valve block or stuck valve. The only way to reset code is with Testbook or some other range rover compatible software system. Dealer charges $100.
