Place the key in the ignition and grab the steering wheel with one hand. Apply steady force in one direction to try to turn the wheel and as you do so, turn the ignition key. The steering wheel will simultaneously unlock as the ignition key turns allowing you to start the car. This is an antitheft device and is common on most cars.

I found the port this way. I looked at the diagram on the inside of the hood area on the front. It tells where the serpentine belt track travels and shows the AC is right in the front on the right of the belt track. There are two lines with knobs on them (side by side) coming out of the AC unit. The one that is on the inside is the Low pressure port. It has the slimmer metal tubing.

If you buy a new factory engine it will likely cost you several thousand dollars, but if you could find one at a wrecking yard it would be alot cheaper. Junk yard will be less than a 1,000 im sure.

There is no dipstick on the auto transmission for L200, there is an inspection plug. located near the out put shaft going to the passenger side.

The car has to be on a level surface (very important), remove the plug if the trans fluid dribbles out you have enough. it is not designed for everyday checks. Saturns view is that you only need to check the fluid if you suspect a leak (evidence of fluid on the ground). If you aren't seeing any then it is probably OK. If you are concerned I would have a garage check it for you, it's not an easy task without a lift. I hope this answers your question.

When an air conditioner cools the air, some of that water condenses out, not only drying the air, but also leaving quite a bit of water on the coils of the air conditioner. Air conditioners not only cool the air, they also remove a lot of the humidity that makes the air feel "muggy".

The simple fact is, ALL vehicles can drip water when the air conditioner is on, depending on the relative humidity of your region on a specific day.

If your vehicle is only leaking water, it's just condensate, and the air conditioner is designed to properly deal with the condition.

Check the liquid that's leaking... if it's not colored (anti freeze color) and it's not oil... then it's condensate, a natural condition for a normally functioning air conditioner.

You may need to contact a locksmith or have the vehicle towed to a dealership.

If the vehicle is equipped with air bags, don't try to repair it yourself. They can be dangerous especially if you don't take the proper precautions.

If the keyswitch is damaged and THAT's the reason you can't get the key out, you'll need a new keyswitch. For most vehicles that involves removing part of the steering wheel assembly, but it all depends on what's involved to replace the switch in YOUR vehicle. The Saturn L series IS equipped with air bags, and it DOES have the ignition switch on the steering wheel. So have someone do that work for you. Air bags can be very dangerous when they go off unexpectedly, plus they're quite expensive.

The recommended Oil for a manual transmission in a 1997 Saturn SL1 is synthetic multi-vehicle automatic transmission fluid or ATFQT. The recommended engine oil is SAE 5W-30 synthetic motor oil.

The windshield wiper switch is broken which is located on the windshield wiper motor. You need to replace the whole motor to fix this.

If you are certain that you have sufficient coolant, and the heater is not warming up adequately, check the thermostat and/or water pump. If the thermostat is staying open the engine coolant will not heat up enough to provide heat inside the passenger cabin.

There is a plug on the passenger side of the transmission by the drive axle It is 11mm bolt. start the vehicle in park on a level surface or hoist...at operating temp pull out the plug Fluid should just trickle out of the plug hole If no fluid comes out add fluid to trans until it does...>Where do you add??? there is no dipstick on the trans. you have a 4t40e transmission. On the bottom of the transmission on the passenger side about 1 " above the pan you will see an 11 mm bolt. Start the car in park and remove this bolt. Then add fluid through the red cap on the top until a steady stream comes out of the bolt in the bottom. Make sure you have a pan under it. Once the stream is steady, replace bolt and replace red cap and you are all filled up.

It's a part of the throttle body assembly.

Don't try it if you aren't trained to handle airbags. They are easily damaged, expensive and can discharge, causing serious injury and even death.

Part of the answers is that the SOCH engine is the one with the sprk plug in the front only and the COCH engine is the twin cam 16 v. sprk plug on top

The Oil Filter on this car is what is called a "clip-in" filter the way you remove it is to simply have the correct sized wrench, and remove the Cap and the filter should come with it.
