There are literally thousands of different ways to raise funds for causes, including that of poor children. The best way to go about raising funds depends on many factors. Is the cause an already existing group or organization, such as UNICEF or Feed the Children? If so, that organization will usually have fund raising tools and strategies available for use in the community. If not, much depends on the fundraising goal, the desired time frame, the available resources to raise the funds such as volunteers, location and materials, and other logistical concerns.

It depends on the contract, who wrote it, who signed it, whether money changed hands. If the contract clearly expresses intent, you signed the contract and you paid for part or all of the hall rental, it's probably a pretty solid contract and you're stuck. Your best bet would be to try to work with them for some kind of compromise. Getting upset with them won't do you much good. Remember that they're in the business of renting the hall and if you tie it up for the night then they aren't making money on their investment. The New Jersey Plan was proposed by William Paterson in response to the Virginia Plan. The Virginia Plan wanted Congress to be based on population; states with larger populations would have more representation. Those states with small populations were against this idea. Their solution was the New Jersey Plan, which would give equal representation to all states. Both the Virginia Plan and the New Jersey Plan were not accepted. Instead, the Connecticut Plan, or the Great Compromise, was adopted. This created two branches in Congress. The Senate, which reflected the New Jersey Plan and gave equal representation to all states, and the House of Representatives, which reflected the Virginia Plan and gave representation to states based on population.

* A 'mixer' is when there are several different category of friends of the person giving a party. Not all people will know each other, but can mix and have conversations with others. A 'mixer' for a company can also mean a large corporation where several people gather for a special occasion put on my the corporation and many of the guests there will not know others so it's a good opportunity to meet people and get to know them a little better.

It probably seems obvious that meeting agendas are important for timing purposes. An agenda keeps a meeting from going too long and keeps a meeting on topic. an agenda lists the timetable for topics, activities and speakers within the pre-established time frame of the meeting.

The importance of an agenda starts even before the meeting takes place. When we schedule a meeting, we should also send the agenda.

A brief verbal review of the agenda at the start of the meeting reinforces the meeting's goals to everyone attending. This review also gives the us a base on which to fall back on when the meeting drifts off topic and a way to bookend the meeting along with a recap of the meetings goals at the end.

For meetings that are following a presentation format, instead of a discussion format, the importance of an agenda is lessened. However, in that case, sending out a short description of the presentation can help people make a more educated choice regarding their attendance when a scheduling conflict might exist.

Davis Moor Thesis was based off of three main things with one big question: prestige, power, and wealth and how do we measure the social classes. Davis Moor claimed that rewards were the valued things given to those who are the most important in society. A doctor has to go to school for many more years than the average employee and so because of this, he gets lifes "perks". He gets paid more because his job takes a lot to fill.

One of the ways that you can really differentiate yourself from your competitors is by wowing the client at the site inspection. So many of our colleagues have their standard site inspection routine that they roll out for every client. All of your clients are different - so why the same site inspection for all of them? This makes no sense. Do you make the same prospecting phone call to every account? Of course not - you always tailor your calls to the client - so shouldn't a site inspection be tailored too?

Remember there is a good chance that your clients are going to site inspections at other hotels too - and they can get pretty darn boring if they are all the same. Tailoring your site inspection to the client has the following benefits:

1. It tells your client that you really want their business because of the time and effort you have put into planning the site inspection.

2. It reminds your client that you understand who they are and what they stand for - which means you will best be able to take care of their group.

3. Your client will still remember your site inspection when they return to their office.

A great place to start for inspiration is your client's website. Maybe they have a theme to their website. Maybe they have company values that could be helpful to you. Maybe they have background music…

Involve the rest of your sales team in preparing for the site inspection. At your next sales meeting tell the team about your upcoming site inspection and then have the team help you brainstorm for 5 minutes on creative ways for wowing your client at the site inspection.

It's also a great idea to involve the rest of the hotel in your site. A Chef in uniform will almost always wow a client - as will food samples along the way! Remember that one of the biggest gripes that clients have is over the check-in experience - so imagine the impact of a Front Desk who actually knows who they are when they arrive at the hotel for the site inspection!

One of the added benefits of involving the rest of the hotel in your site inspection is longer term. If your hotel team has been involved in helping secure a piece of group business then they are more likely to go the extra mile to take care of that group - it's like they have more of a vested interest. If you are asking how you as a kid can fix your own bad reputation, I would say to do good. Volunteer and help others when you can. You have choices in life and different roads to travel based on where you start. Start in a good place so you will end up in a good place. Do what you can to prove others wrong. Understand why you have a bad reputation to begin with and make sure you don't do that again.

If your bad reputation makes you feel bad about yourself, get into sports or some activity that empowers you. If you are in sports your teammates will stick up for you.

Be really good at something. If you are really good at something the bad reputation will, over time be overshadowed by whatever you are good at. You will become known for what you are good at and the bad reputation will be a thing of the past.

Many people today would say that the Government is taking more and more of our rights away "for the greater good of the Country". A famous American once said that, 'Anyone who would trade his rights for security deserves neither one.' So what we see is Government following Locke's principles whether the people agree or not.
