Maybe. some people do believe (me being one of them) that younger kids are more susceptible to the supernatural. when i was four or five one time a saw a shadow of a man walk into my room around the time my great grandpa died it was very faint though. another time a saw a shadow the same size and shape of a black lab run into my dresser around the time my aunts black lab... Shadow died.

Actually there is no tangible proof that dogs are seeing spirits or that spirits even exist. So to answer this with a definitive YES would be wrong. The simple fact is no one knows for sure. It is true that dogs have better senses than humans and can also see and hear in spectrum that we can't. But it is an assumption or your personal belief if you think that your dog is barking at a ghost.
People have been said to communicate with the unknown so it would only make sense that dogs are capable of doing the same thing but to a much higher degree with their broader senses. So since you can't see it or hear you assume it's a spirit.
