Been here before, take off the cover, there is a plate behind the bolt that gets bend around it so it cant loosen itself u need to unbend it from the bolt then use a pneumatic impact gun on the bold, trust me a torque wrench or socket wrench or even an elextric impact gun will not be strong enough.

well actually there is no timing belt is a timing chain and u should not change that unless there is something wrong with it, dont even touch it

It has 3 timing chains on this motor and if it is not done correctly the valves will hit the pistons,they dont need to be replaced however the lower tensioner on the left side go bad alot

You would want to know what you are doing. it requires the removal of all of the injection system and alot of the electircal stuff. it actually has 5 timing chains. Its a nightmare, i did it just before xmas.

The 185 Quad Runner has a tensioner that is released from behind the backing plate you can loosen it from underneath the quad with a 17mm socket.

on a 1999 sukuki 1400 intruder, its inside the left side panel, under a black plastic lid/panel held on by a phillips screw. You will have to remove the seat to get the side panel off. Im pretty sure the 96 & 99 are the same.

They are 'supposed' to adjust automatically. However, if you find that they are not adjusting properly, your adjusters may be rusted and seized. If so, take them off and work them around until they are free moving. The adjuster is shown as number 7 in the following diagram. (Replace xx with tt at the beginning of the address below.)

I learned this the hard way. If that does not fix your problem, your parking brake may not be adjusted properly or your pedal height may need adjusting as well. Also, check your brake fluid level. oil filter is under the battery, oil drain plug has the number 4 on it toward the back of the engine. The clear lens on the right side of the motor is the oil level check. (MAKE SURE THE BIKE IS UP RIGHT WHEN YOU CHECK IT. NOT ON THE KICK STAND) and the oil fill is to the left of the clear lens oil check. just take the two hex screws out and remove the chrome cover.

It will be stamped on the case next to the filler plug.

If it breaks while the engine is runnIng, yes. It can damage the valve train

It's under the hood. There's a large one and a smaller one on the extreme left.

On my 2006 C90T, here's what I do:

1. Stand the bike up straight, and make sure it can't fall over.

2. Put a pan under it.

3. Pull the drain plug.

4. Remove the cover from the RH side of the engine.

5. Remove the oil fill plug.

6. Let the oil drain out.

7. Remove the oil filter.

8. Clean the spilled oil off of the frame.

9. Replace the oil filter.

10. Remove the pan with the old oil in it.

11. Replace the oil plug, using a new washer.

12. Add oil, until it shows half way on the sight glass.

13. Start the engine, let it idle about 5 minutes.

14. Recheck the oil level, and add some if needed.

15. Replace the engine side cover.

16. Remove the bike stand.

17. Dispose of the used oil properly.

18. Go ride.

No. The RM250 stuck with smaller axles all the way to the end in 2008. The First Rmz 450's (2005) had larger axles front and rear. If you put RMZ450 forks and a Rmz450 swingarm on an RM250 it would work. These do fit although the rmz 450 swingarm is 25mm longer.

there will be a bolt on the right side by the water pump. take that bolt out and drain then fill it up till oil comes out the bolt..

yea. on the side of the engine theres a circular cover, you take off like 5 bolts(10 mm) to get it off. you have to buy the pull start that will go there.

I didn't know they made a boulevard in '04. I bought mine first model year 2005.

With the bike on it's side stand look underneath towards the back of the motor and you'll see a 14mm bolt. That's the drain plug. Put a basin underneath it and take the plug out. Buy an oil filter removal tool which basically fits over the end of the filter and you snap a 3/8 ratchet into it.

When the oil is drained out slide the pan under the filter and take the filter off. You might want to get a new crush gasket for the drain plug although it may not be imperative. The Suzuki oil filter I just bought had one in the box.

You may also want to put the drain plug back in before you move the basin.

Put some new oil around the top o-ring of the new filter and carefully spin it on. Tighten it as far as you can with your fingers.

Then use your wrench to snug it up. Be careful not to overtighten it. Fill it up with the new oil and when you are sure it's full (when the bike is straight up and down you can see it in the sight glass. It should be at the top line.

Start it and let it run for a bit and check for leaks.

Hi, Either bad charging system or battery. Check battery voltage itself and then voltage to battery with engine running. Healthy charging system will put out 1.5 to 2.0 volts above battery voltage. Motorcycles are notoriously rough on batteries. Peace, crigby

If the clutch is making a noise, you could have a more severe problem on your hand, you should probably get a certified tech to look at your bike if you can find anyone that doesn't charge an arm and a leg just to do a simple diagnosis.
