The filters are under the dash on the passenger side. First remove the bottom guard (3 screws). Above the guard you will see the duct with a 1 1/2 " strip held with 1 screw. Remove screw and the filters will pull out. Installation is reverse of removal.

Check to see if the center brake light is working. Alot of cars have the cruise control on a fuse circuit with the center brake light. A blown fuse may be the problem. Check the fuse panel under the hood or dash.

This appears to be a common problem some of the 2002 RAV4 have. Mine did. Have the P-codes checked with an OBD-II readout to see if the onboard computer senses any transmission malfunction. The P-code numbers will indicate which malfunctions it detects. But most likely the readout will show no transmission malfunction codes; because the CPU(the onboard computer) was programmed incorrectly to start with and is incapable of reporting the proper malfunction codes. Mine was. The CPU tells the transmission solenoids when to shift the gears. But if the CPU begins to malfunction, it can cause the solenoids/transmission to shift harshly and improperly. Go easy on the transmission until you get it checked. I did. Back off the pedal when the car begins to jerk. Let the car coast so the transmssion can find the proper gear itself. This will save your transmission from being destroyed. Toyota has reprogrammed the replacement CPU(twice, now) to fix the problem. The original can not be "reflashed" to fix this. You can buy the CPU and replace it yourself. I did. Do not let the dealer talk you into a new transmission; it will only go bad again because of the defective CPU.

Then, while holding down the reset button, turn the ignition to the "On" position. There will be 6-7 lines showing instead of the odometer numbers, and they will disappear one by one.

Keep holding button down. Then all "0's" will be displayed, and finally it will show the mileage.

You stated they were stolen; not lost. This means someone has your keys and knows your car. Call a locksmith and have them rekey each lock. You may want to change the ignition lock too so you won't have to use two separate keys to operate your car. I do not know the cost, but the locksmith will tell you on the phone. I am in the same situation and the dealer told me it was cheaper for an independent locksmith to do this for you, plus they will come to you. If you had a remote stolen also, then go to a dealership that sells your model and they will give or order you a new one and will change the frequency for free. The cost of a new remote is about $100.

It depends on which air filter you are refering to. Since the engine air filter is pretty straight-forward I'll assume you're talking about the cabin air filter. I have a 2005 and assume it's the same for your 2003 so try looking behind the glove compartment. You should be able to get behind it by opening it and gently bending the plastic part that catches when it is all the way open so that it passes the catch. It will then swing the rest of the way down (you may want to remove the contents first) so that you can access the door to the filter.

One cause of a popping noise from the front end while backing up in cold weather is the drive shaft. A mechanic can help find the problem.

Assuming you're asking the question with the goal of replacing the rear wiper blade, here is your answer.

1. Buy the correct-fit replacement (the replacement blade will have step-by-step, illustrated instructions). The 2007 Toyota Rav4 takes a special 12" rear wiper blade for the special rear arm. Your dealer will have them (may be expensive) or you may want to look into "Trico Exact Fit Rear Blades" that fit these new special arms - you can find them online. (there may be others available too)

The good news is - specialized rear arms do not automatically mean the wiper blade is difficult to change - it just means you need to get the right blade for easy (and successful) installation.

2. The new replacement wiper will have step-by-step, illustrated instructions for removal and installation. Take your new wiper blade and instructions out to your vehicle and physically get the old and new wipers in your hands and take a look. The instructions will make 100% sense once you're looking and touching them.

3. Most wiper replacements snap off and on, do not require tools and take approximately 2-15 minutes.

Note: Correct replacement windshield wiper blades are not only correct length, but also correct attachment. Never just buy by length only. Always lookup your vehicle in an application guide at the store or now-a-days you can 'lookup wiper size' online. The key to an easy install is correct size/correct part numbers.
