Advantages and disadvantages of digital transmission?

1. The signal is exact. For example, Digital formats like PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) can hold the exact digital format of sounds.

2. Digital signals can checked for errors. Generally, all digital transmission methods use 'head labels' to provide better checking facilities. Head label may contain how many packets may need to complete the transmission, what is the sequence number of each packet of data, acknowledgment labels etc.

3. A variety of services can afford over one line. For example, IpTV connection can used to watch cable TV channels while browsing the Internet through a PC using same line. This line can also used to make a phone call at the same time.

4. Digital data can be compressed and therefore possible to pass over higher bandwidths. Any digital data; data, image, video, voice can be compressed.

5. More secure. Digital data can be encrypt using an encryption method. Only the dedicated receiver can decode the message.

6. Supports data integrity. Simple to integrate voice, video and data. Digital transmission provides easier way to integrate different digital formats.

7. Digital transmission provides higher maximum transmission rates via medium such as optical fibers. Typically, digital transmissions use less bandwidth.

Disadvantages::::::::

1) digital equipment costs more and is much more complex.

What are transmission modes?

Exposure occurs through either direct or indirect contact.

Direct transmission occurs when a pathogen An agent that causes disease, esp. a living microorganism such as a bacterium or fungus. is transmitted directly from an infected individual to you. For example, you could become infected with HBV Hepatitis B Virus if you had an open wound that came into contact with a patient's HBV infected blood.

Indirect transmission occurs when an inanimate object serves as a temporary reservoir for the infectious agent. For example, you could become infected with HBV if you come into contact with equipment that has dried infectious blood on it.

It is important to note that many diseases do not manifest themselves immediately. Therefore, it can often be difficult to track the source of an exposure.

Many of the symptoms of some diseases can be quite similar to the flu. Therefore, if flu-like symptoms do not subside in a normal amount of time with normal treatment methods, you may need to have blood tests performed to rule out other possible causes

What gear is direct drive?

If you're talking about gear ratios, that would be a 1:1 ratio.

Why is the transmission in your 2001 Rav 4 shifting up and down so crazy?

Toyota has a defective part which they refuse to perform a recall on; the ECM which controls the transmission is faulty and causes "harsh shifting" or "hard shifting". If left unrepaired it can damage the actual transmission, which Toyota may then have the audacity to also make you pay to replace. This is a known issue for all RAV 4 models from 2001 through 2003; I received a notice after the damage was already done to my RAV. Toyota refused to reimburse me because my car was "beyond the warranty", even though they admitted in their letter that the part was known to be faulty. For more horror stories, google the key words "Toyota RAV4 harsh shift" and look at the hundreds (if not thousands) of complaints that come back. Good luck to you.

How does front wheel drive work?

Which wheels are driving your vehicle defines the kind of drive your vehicle has: Though currently in market there are all wheel drive, rear wheel drie and front wheel drive available with each having its share of advantages and disadvantages. Front wheel dive came into existence after the fuel crises of the 1970s. Manufacturers scrambled to save weight to save fuel, and they adopted assorted variations of the front-engine/front-drive layout. With all of the drivetrain components under the hood, cars became smaller and lighter and still had adequate interior room. Plus, with the engine over the drivewheels, traction improved too. Today, the majority of family cars are front-drive. Though it looses brownie it comes to straight line accelration but performance wise, considering the normal usage it definitely scores.

How can you change your 93 Mazda mx6 stick into an automatic and how much would it run you?

MAKE A QUICK PIONT TO YOU! I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT ONE THAT OWNS A MX6 DOSN'T CHANGE TO A AUTO TRANNY. MOST, AND I STRESS MOST MX6-ER'S GO THE OTHER WAY. I'M ONE. THE MX6 IS KNOWN FOR IT'S AUTO TRANNY PROBLEMS. MY MX6 WAS A AUTO, THE AUTO TRANNY WAS REBUILT TWICE, AND REPLACED ONCE. SO NEEDLESS TO SAY WE CHANGED IT TO A MANUAL! I THINK ALL OF THE PPL AT MX6.COM FOR THE HELP. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD JUST STICK WITH THE " STICK ".

Are you High? Automatics Suck. Sell the car and buy a different car if you want an automatic

Why is the drive shaft in vehicles inclined?

Usually this is due to an aftermarket lift kit or something similar in which the drive shaft from the transmission, which is with the body of the car, needs to go to the differential in between the wheels. the lift kit puts more space in between the body of the vehicle and the wheels. The driveshaft a lot of times is a little longer than stock on these vehicles as well.

Where is the transmission dipstick located on a 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage?

On a 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage LS with 1.8 liter engine, the transmission dipstick is located below the battery, and has a little white ball on the top of the stick. When you have the hood open and your facing the engine, the battery should be on your left. Located under the battery (pretty far down) you can see the transmission. Looking at it you will see the little white ball on the top of the dipstick. If you have a manual transmission, then there is no dipstick under the hood. The lubricant must be checked and added underneath the car into the transmission itself. There are two bolts, one for checking the lubricant and one for filling the lubricant. To check the level of lubricant, remove the proper bolt (I am unsure which one it is on your vehicle), and put your finger in the hole. If the fluid is level with the raised area around the hole, then it has a sufficient amount of fluid.

What would cause a 05 KIA Sorento not to down shift on acceleration?

"There is a wire that wasn't insulated enough" was the answer I finally got. They finally fixed it at the 96,000 mile mark but it's now doing it again. The REAL fix? Still researching!

What causes a transmission to stop shifting from 2nd gear when the speedometer stops working 2000 Camry?

If the spedometer is not working and the traansmision will not shift out of second it means the speed sensor is bad, unpluged or the wiring for it is damaged.

The shif6ts are controled by the ECM (computer) and if does not know the speed of the car, it will not shift.

What is the difference between 1500 and 3000 RPM?

RPM stands for Revolutions-Per-Minute, and is counted at the crankshaft. At 3000 RPM the engine is spinning twice as fast as at 1500 RPM.

Is there a fuses for transmission and speedometer?

Yes it depends what kind of vehicle you drive as to where the fuse is located.

Why would a manual transmission in a 91 festiva pop out of gear and rattle at high RPMs?

When the transmission pops out of gear it usually means that there is something loose or worn out.

Could be that the clutch needs replacing.

The "rattle at high rpm" could indicate a worn bearing... either the clutch release bearing or the front bearing in the transmission

More than likely, it may well be that you've ran out of tranny fluid. That will cause the the tranny to pop out of gear, and make a sound that is similar to having rocks in the tranny. But, that awful sound doesn't need high rpms. It will make that sound at nearly any rpm.

Yep, I'm betting it's out or nearly out of fluid. You have a leak. You check and/or add fluid thru the speedometer cable hole. There's one bolt, about a ten millimeter, that holds the speedo cable in place. The hole cable goes into is also tapered, and it is tricky to get the cable out of the hole. You will probably have to pry it out. Be careful not to break the piece the bolt goes thru. A LITTLE pry bar, the type used for prying out tacks is the best device for getting the cable out of the hole. This type pry bar, if you can even call it a bar is the type that has a handle like a screw driver. I screw driver will also work, but it is harder. Good luck.
