How much do automatic cost?

For a quick and dirty estimate of where you might expect bids from professional sprinkler contractors to come in, use a range of $0.50 to $1.25 per square foot of area to be watered. Small properties and properties with complicated layouts will tend to be at the higher end of that range. Where you live and what type of equipment you select will also impact the range of bids.

If you are installing the system yourself, you should be able to buy equivalent materials at a home improvement store for about 15-20% more than a contractor will pay at a contractor supply store; however, you will need to factor in rental of trenchers and whether you can install the backflow prevention device, so you should figure your total cost of installing an equivalent system yourself will be 40-50% of a professional sprinkler contractor bid.

For more specific information you can search for "Sprinkler System Designer" on the internet and find applications that will let you put in the parameters of your yard and will output a parts list with prices.

Why wont your automatic transmission shift into third gear?

Depending on the vehicle, lets say you own a Chrysler, the electronic transmission has a mode referred to as "limp in" mode. Your vehicle will run only in second, or maybe third gear(transmission). In most cases, if there is something mechanically wrong with your tranny, you will hear it or feel it, or have total failure.

In the case of an electronic problem, the check engine light accompanied by the inability to shift through the gears could be due to a faulty governer pressure sensor and or solenoid. Occasionally with Chrysler electronic trannys, the solenoid gets frozen and will not engage with the correct force. Fault code will indicate Governer pressure sensor voltage too low, etc. This can be remedied easily by purchasing the parts over the internet and dropping the transmission pan, removing the valve body, and replacing the two parts.

You tried to do a burnout by going in reverse then to neutral revving the car up then throwing it into drive now the car won't move what is wrong?

I hope you have money because the transmission is gone! And they are not cheap. I recommend a rebuilt transmission. Expect to pay about 1000 to 2000 dollars for the repair job.

2002 Tahoe 40000 mi won't go in reverse?

Also have '02 Tahoe Shift ProblemI'm having the same problem with my 2002 Tahoe, 39,500 miles. Also, problems with transfer case for 4WD, and sometimes won't go into Drive.

Did you find out what the problem was? Any chance that is was covered under warranty?

The problem is most likely the "sunshell" inside the transmission. This is a common failure in the 4l60 transmission. In order to repair it you will need to find a good transmission repair technician. If you are going to go that far into the transmission, you should consider a complete overhaul. There is an improved sunshell available called "The Beast". It is an aftermarket part which is comparably priced to the OEM part, but it is much stroger than the factory part. It is made of stainless steel as opposed to the factory stamped steel part, and is much thicker and heavier duty than the factory part. I replaced mine last year and have worked my trans. very hard ever since. No problems.

How much does it cost to have a transmission installed in a 1995 Grand Prix?

It varies with what area of the country you live in. Call a couple of local garages for estimates.

I had mine done in x-mas of 2004 it cost $1800 OUCH dollars. I live in central Nebraska. I got a 1 year warranty with it. It is a 1996 auto trans with overdrive. I feel I could have done it cheaper if I had bought one on eBay NEW with warranty and just paid to get it installed. but I heard about shipping problems and core problems so I went local just in case some thing went wrong which it did twice. First the car cameout not driving straight. they had to adjust the engine cradle to put it back where it was or they have to get a front end alignment and guess who would pay for that? . second I lost drive some six months later. the original problem was I lost my overdrive. so back to the shop it went under warrenty. I have been going good since. KNOCK ON WOOD! If you are in large city I would think you should be able to get it done for $800-1500 to rebuild yours with converter Installed. Hope you have better luck than I did. $1800 on a $1200 quote still hurts and they never kissed me.

Why would a transmission stick and rpms run high?

My KIA Sephia is doing the same thing. I was told that my valve body was stuck and needed to be cleaned.

When do you know your transmission is going out?

When it no longer shifts cleanly. First, check the fluid level when the engine is warm and running. You may have a leak. If so, add fluid to the full mark (DO NOT OVERFILL) and check beneath the car after it has been parked overnight to see if the leak is serious. New seals, while fairly expensive, are much cheaper than a rebuilt tranny or a new car.

Is it possible that there is a loose cable from the shifter to the transmission making the car unable to tell which gear it is in?

That is certainly a possibility. Shifter linkage can cause problems with transmissions but you cannot know for certain without getting a little closer to the problem.

If the transmission shifts out of and back into park and the wheels actually lock then it's PROBABLY not a shift linkage problem. If you aren't mechanically inclined you may need to take the vehicle to a specialist.

If the transmission is shifting out of park normally but the transmission will not engage, you probably have something wrong with the transmission, such as the hydraulic pump, internal valve body, clutch pack or any of a number of other potential problems.

Good luck.

What are the adjustments for the kick-down cable on old TH350 transmission?

Unlock the tab on the large part of the cable near the carb linkage. Push the cable all the way into the large part and lock it back down. press the accelerator all the way to the floor from inside the car. ( NOT from at the carburetor as many will extend it too far)

It is now set.

Who can i check the level on transmission in ba falcon?

the transmission check point is under the car on the drivers side of the transmission. you need a 16mm spanner and you need to check it when the transmission is hot. and the car running. if you check the transmission when the car is at operating temp with the car switched off, the level will be down. the car must be in the park position.

Where can you find the neutral safety switch on my 1995 Saturn SL2?

What a plugged transmission vent can cause?

A clogged vent plug will allow pressure to build up inside the transmission from the heat of friction or ambient temperature even if it's just sitting. That increased pressure forces outward on every surface in the transmission. With no pressure release, it can force the transmission oil or fluid out the axle shaft seals until it is too low for safe operation. Early transmission failure can result, as well as unsightly puddles underneath the car.
