Well, there are really only 4 options you have.
# You can buy a new one for over a thousand of dollars, which in my opinion is a waste of money. # Depending on what is wrong, you can just buy the front nose piece. # Depending on what is wrong, you can just replace the coupler in the inside. # Or you can buy a rebuild. This might be the best option since they are several hundred of dollars, however it will come with a lifetime warranty.
Can do you install a blow off valve with no turbo?
You just install it like you would normally do with a turbocharged engine...the bloww-off however, won't work! :)
On a more serious note, you could go get one of those fake-BOVs, which are actually speakers that produce a pre-recorded "ka-pissh" sound when triggered. You can either wire it up to a switch or to the throttle pedal to dictate when the device would be activated.

That depends on which model you have, but it either used a Garret T3 ('84-'87) or T25 ('88-'00).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the 1990-1996 Nissan 300ZX (Z32) the stock turbos are two (2) T25 turbos. Note: The automatic transmission models come with a smaller Turbine A/R than the Manual transmission. So, the automatic's turbos might spool a tiny bit faster, but will die off sooner in the higher RPM's I have no knowledge of the previous model 300ZX's turbos, sorry.

were the bearings on the pulleys checked, or the bearings in the blower?
i was having this very problem--the tensioner and idler pulleys as well as the serpentine and supercharger belt on my 98 GTP were all replaced--seriously every pulley and belt on the engine--and there was still a rattle. I'm told the bearing inside the supercharger (???) could be the problem, meaning that one day the supercharger could die, throwing its belt and leaving me royally screwed.
ok, so i didn't exactly answer. sorry about that. i found on magnason superchargers when the front cover is unbolted and removed from the blower housing there is a spring loaded dampner the attaches the drive pulley to the rotors when removed you will here the spring uncoil i found this to cause play between pulley and front drive gears . a quick way to see i someone tampered with the blower is disconnect the s/c belt and turn the pulley back and forth (with engine off!!!!)if you here cluncking and feel play chances are the dampener spring was toyed with and needs to be dissassembled and assembled correctly.if you are talking about a centrifical vortech charger we always get low rpm rattles with some age but rattles subside when you start to wind them up.a make a model would be helpfull!!
well, since turbo was made In 2013. It is 2015 I don't really think there will be another turbo but there can be. I personally think there should be. It was a good movie and I guess the producers think its good enough. Therefore they aren't making another. I don't know if they will but if they do, I'm watching it. Hope I helped you :P

Anything is possible but on a 1st gen the body is molded differently lots of fab but it can be done, is it worth it? Probaly not. now you can however easily swap in a turbo motor/trans. 2g eclipses/ talons are basically direct bolt in for the awd swap

Yes you can, with a lot of elbow grease and the right tools. Should be pretty straightforward. To add to this, Subaru parts are like legos, so you have tons of leniency in this area.. Seriously, you can grab pretty much anything from any model and bolt it right up to any other model, doesn't even matter what year they are. People build Frankenstein motors all the time, someone will put new 2.5L heads on a 10 year old 2.2L block, run the injectors from a 2.0L WRX, grab the intake manifold off the first Suby they see in the junkyard, swap in the STi pistons their friend was gonna sell after building up his own motor, then blah blah (yeah, I could go all day..)

Depends on where the problem is. If the problem is the wastegate acutuator (gold or rusty cylinder attached to the turbo), replace it. If the problem is the wastegate flapper assembly (arm attached to turbine housing on the turbo), pentrating oil works wonders. If that does not work, you have to replace the turbine housing.
Where at on the engine does the supercharger fluid go?
Depending on the supercharger, it will require a special blend of synthetic oil. This synthetic oil normally is located in the supercharger itself.
Most superchargers will have a hex nut located on the front of the supercharger. This area is used to drain and fill up the supercharger oil.
You cannot use just any synthetic oil, you will have to use "Supercharger Oil"
It is when the boost pressure is higher than what the wastegate is set at. Porsche's are know for this, they allow a pressure spike while shifting which a boost in torque output.
How do you measure turbo size?
You measure the wheel size of the turbo. fr example you will get 50mm and this will tell you how big the actual turbo is. you cant really tell by the trim
It is possible to convert you N/A diesel to a Turbo Diesel, but it won't be cheap. The gains you get for the money arn't really worth the cost. The only exception is if you can find a wrecked 300D with a turbo and scavenge the turbo and associated hardware off it. If you need more info please ask. I and doesn't disappoint you too much.
As I understand it the turbo engine is updated with high temp valves and a hardened and/or oversized crank to handle the increased engine torque and combustion temps. I would recommend to just find a decent turbo engine and swap the whole thing. I hear you can find them for as low as $500 sometimes.
