Quick easy fix. Did this with my Legend which left me stranded often when the alarm would kick off unexpectedly and shut down my ignition. Disengage hood switch. Its a small lever switch that sits in front of radiator and engages when hood is closed. DONT CUT ITS WIRES. That will send signal to control unit of tampering and it will shut down. Simply unscrew (two screws) from its mounting and allow to dangle freely. This fools the security system into thinking the hood is forever open and the system wont arm itself with a closed circuit.

you have to pull the bottom part out first. To do this, pull up on the front of the bench. There are two clips. If sitting on the seat, one would be between your legs directly behind driver, and front passenger. After taking the bench off, there are two screws (12mm), each at the bottom of the of the back rest. Once those are off, just push the back rest upwards and it pop out.

had the same problem with my daughters 94 vigor and believe it or not it was the alternator. it was putting one and a half a/c volts in the system and would set the code for crank shaft position sensor and would not run over 3000 rpm as soon as the ck engine lite poped on. replace alt and never a problem sence

This is a complicated switch to replace. My best advice it to pay an auto shop to do it, they will charge about $50. Its complicated because the switch goes onto the transmission, so there's a lot of panels to remove and put back.
Well, unfortunately the only way to tell is to really clean the area where the leak is suspected. Drive it for a little while and take a look. Either place can leak motor oil. Make sure you keep an eye on your oil level in the engine if it's really leaking alot. NEW ANSWER............. I had the same problem, I have a 92 vigor, and it was the seal for the distributor, unfortunately they do not sale the seal seperate. It comes with the dist. Also it was a recall from the dealer, you have to check with an acura dealer to find out if you vigor had the dist. changed or not, they can tell some how by the vin#.I changed it myself. dist. about $200.00 dealer may be expensive for labor. Addition... The above answer is incorrect. Seperate distributor seals are available through many online parts sellers. They're about $10 and are easy to install yourself. My 92 Vigor had the same problem, and it was a really easy fix. The o-rings around the distributor wear out, and to replace them, its only about $4.00 a piece. You have to take the distributor off and replace the seals. Acura dealerships carry the o-rings and will give you a diagram of the parts to help you replace the rings.
