The air is drawn in through the vents in the front of your windshield. The filter keep dirt, dust and junk from entering your air-conditioner and cabin when you turn on a fan. I usually get between 50 and 60,000 miles between changes. On my 2003 4Runner and my 2008 Tundra it's located right behind the glove box. I don't know where yours is located but I'll bet it's in the same place. Instructions usually come with a new cabin filter so check the box.

The Acura RL is a solid built car so it would be hard to access its air filter or any of its technical and mechcanical items for you and me and any small mechanic repair shop for that matter. It's best to take your Acura RL to the Acura Dealership to perform this task.

the engine air filter is located in the front left or right hand of the engine compartment it will look like a large plastic box, it has 5 tabs on the sides that need to be pulled away and the top will come free "some wiggling may be necessary" the filter is usually of a paper variety however many after market filters are available. any parts dealer will be able to give you the proper filter based on the make, year, and engine type of the car. by engine type I mean the displacement like a Acura 3.5l RL the "3.5" is the displacement.

to make up for this maintenance facilities buy equipment and train the wrench monkeys how to put in to car, push button, and read the code, go to a book that it tells them whats wrong, they pass this built in idiocy to you. the owner. they tell you it is technical, usually that means with out a computer to tell them, they don't know. some things are usually just hidden or requires special tooling that was made to do the job so you couldn't do it at home, these tools are usually found online or at part stores, and at$89 to120. dollars per hour, at least try it your self . I am not saying rebuild your engine but a filter is basic same with bulbs oil plugs. just read a bit and educate yourself first.

I believe you meant to ask about an EXHAUST header. Most headers advertise a 10-25% hp increase. I believe that a more reasonable figure is 5-8% depending on the quality of the headers. "Tuned" headers tend to yield slightly higher gains because each runner is supposedly the exact same length so there is less backpressure. Some back pressure is okay, so don't try to eliminate it all.

Personally I have fabricated my own exhaust headers for quite sometime now, I don't use same length runners, instead I change the rocker arm ratios to adjust for the shorter/longer length the exhaust must travel.

hmmmm, the horspower on a 440 4bbl in the magnum, super commando or t-n-t engine package was 375 ponies i belive and the 6 pack motor put out 395 but these numbers could be a bit low due insurance companys back the and the govt. regulations, i would say if the commpession ratio was that of the motor options above you should be well over 300 ponies

Air Cleaner in the air intake of the engine has nothing to do with the health of the occupants of the car. Torque them to 35 pounds. then after it has run and cooled off torque them again. You can rent torque wrenches from some parts stores

try replacing the radiator cap, because it has a pressure release valve that can stick or take out your thermostat altogether, sometimes it runs better without it in the summer only. . HOW IS THE CONDITON OF THE RADIATOR? THERE COULD BE SOME CROSS TUBES THAT ARE CLOGED UP TOWARD THE BOTTOM THAT CAN NOT BEE SEEN. I TEST THIS BY PLACING MY HAND ON THE FACE OF THE RADIATOR AND TRY TO FIND COOL SPOTS.

I just looked up this information and it is all there. If your car is equipped with the optional filter it is under the dash on the passenger's side.
