Pencils are all marked on a European system called the degree scale where H is hardest and B is blackest.
Pencils can be marked as;
9H, 8H, 7H, 6H, 5H, 4H,3H,2H, H F,HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B ,5B ,6B ,7B ,8B ,9B

H pencils have a higher concentrate of clay than graphite, whereas the B pencils have a much lower percentage of clay.
The B pencils make soft, dark marks, whereas the H pencils have a much harder, lighter mark.

The F pencil stands for fine point, which is slightly harder than the HB making it a good writingpencil.

There was a small show of paintings at the Woodstock Festival. It was located in an area away from the stage. The art show judge was helicoptered in, and cash prizes were awarded. One of the documentary films on the festival includes a very brief shot of some of the paintings in the show.

You light a match, set fire to the rope, or whatever you dont want frayed and after it has burned off a bit, quickly blow it out. The end will be a bit singed, but it will not be frayed.

Well, I highly recommend a tent. I've seen people do shows without a tent but rain or sun can both make your experience pretty unbearable and can even cause damage to all your hard work. It depends on what you're selling but a proper display can make all the difference on whether or not people bother to look and your work and whether they buy it. Make sure it looks attractive enough to bring people into your booth, then that it allows them to get a better look without being rushed, crowded or uncomfortable (not hunched over a low table or craning their necks to look closely). Signage (with info and prices) is great, as are postcards with your contact info and a sheet for people to sign your mailing list. You'll also need a money box, calculator, pens, a receipt pad, something to wrap your items and bags of some kind. You can find many of these items at office supply stores or online.
