They have fuseable links that are connected 2 the starter solonoid 4 power sources.The wire inside the inslation melts,Need 2 check them with a test Light @ each end. There is also a few in the wiring harness six to eight inches up the harness toward the firewall. You can pull on the link with a little force and if its burned, it will pull apart.

In answer to your question the coolant temperature sensor on a 2000 Pontiac grand am with a 3.4L engine, is located on the rear of the engine above the flywheel. It is located just behind the what I believe is the alternator.

It could be that the radiator cap is not able to maintain pressure. Check the radiator cap for cracks or any other damage. Replace if necessary. DO NOT remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot.

Yes, it is. If you hold the key all the way you are activating the starter. The starter (or on board computer) may not be smart enough to realize that the vehicle is already running.

its more likely the fan module, its right on top of hearter assembly under hood held in by 2 screws its chaep and easy to fix

It is on the driver side of the engine. It is right next to the camshaft sensor below the coolant pipes. It is about 6 inches away from the Throttle body.

It should be located on the top of the thermostat housing just at the right hand end of the engine. I am assuming that you are looking for the guage sensor.

The ECU/BCM on the 2002 Buick Rendezvous CX is located underneath the Driverside seat.

It is in the black box on the left sie of the engine near the back, it should have a red cover over the wires and the cover to access the relay swithes snaps on. I am trying to find where i can buy the relay switch, i need one for my fans also because they don't kick on causin my rendevous to overheat

I had this exact problem, although mine had nothing to do with when it was raining or using the washer fluid. My speedomter got stuck past the 115 mark. The problem is the motor that controls the speedometer needle has gone bad. This is fast becoming a common problem for 2003 thru 2006 GM vehicles, not just Rendezvous. I had mine repaired yesterday. The motor must be replaced. Buick dealer wanted to charge me almost $500.00 for it. I had a local speedometer repair shop do it for $300. Would have been $190 if I myself would have removed the instrument cluster and brought it in to them. They did all the work, took about 3 hours. There are 6 motors on the instrument cluster. Have them replace all while they're at it. Very good chance the other motors will start failing over the next year.

Sensors on the wheels determine if the wheels are moving at the approximate same speed. During braking, if one wheel locks up, the brakes will start to pulse, allowing the locked wheel or wheels to start turning again and return control of the steering. The same basic principle is used during accelleration. If one wheel starts to spin considerably faster than the others, the ignition is briefly disconnected, reducing the accelleration rate and allowing the tire to stop spinning. The two processes share the same wheel sensors as well as many other parts of the control system. Yes, the two are definitely related. It may be something as simple as a loose connection or something as complex as a faulty module. Unfortunately, the best way to determine what is wrong with the traction control would be to have the vehicle connected to a diagnostic unit that can check the brakes and onboard control computer. This can be done at an independent repair shop, and if the vehicle is out of warranty, it will probably be a bit expensive.

I have done mine twice. First get the reservoir and air filter out of your way. Then get a ratchet on the pulley that is just a tensioner - by turning the bolt you create slack in the belt. I hadn't worked on cars in years - the alternator seemed simple enough - but one thing to note is that you do not have to pull out the bottom bolt to remove it - you can't anyway. There are two bolts behind it that hold a casting for the bottom bolt.

It maens the computer is controling the amount of slip at the drive wheels either by applying the brakes or by chenging the power distribution to the wheels. This happens in slippery driving conditions.

I have an Olds van and the doors sometimes act up. The doors not working properly seems to be a normal event for all vans. To this day, they still do not have all the bugs worked out. Have you disconnected the battery (change battery, repair on van, etc) or blew a fuse reciently? In most vans the doors have to be reset after such events for them to work properly. You can buy a repair manual from a parts store for the reset procedures.

I had to have the speed sensor and hub replaced on passenger side of my 2003. Cost about 400 from dealership. Majority was labor. Part is about 85.00 at Auto Zone.
