What does it mean when the heater only blows out cold air in a 1996 Ford Fiesta R?
I have had to replace the heating control valve on a few fiestas, it is very common. It can be found on the bulk-head of engine bay just below wiper mechanism. Its got a plug on the side and two pipes in and out the other side. They are roughly £17 from Ford dealers, I would not advise getting one from a scrappy, cos the ones I've had from good scrappies tend not to last very long and were only a few quid cheaper than new one. They are really easy to replace, only tool you will need is mole grips to squeeze the rings around each pipe. Do it when the engine is cold.
Hope this helps

Blower Motor Resistor Pack defective. You can order the part from Rockauto.com. Lookup the part number on their website. There maybe two different part numbers one is with center counsel and one is without center counsel. GM direct wants 3 times as much for the part. They don't want you to do it yourself, so they charge what the dealer would charge for the part and labor.

Heater stops in your car when you come to a stop?
circulating fan is probably not working when car is moving it works with outside airflow, check for blown fuse
Why are the heater fan not working out of Pontiac 1997 grand prix?
Blower motor problems are common on GM products. If the fuse is good then the motor is probably bad. Using a 12V test light, check for current right at the motor. If there is current then you will need to replace the motor. If the motor works only on high, then the blower motor resistor is bad and will need replacing. I hope this helps you. Mark My ignition switch was bad. Wiggle the key in the switch and wee if the fan works! I had problems with my resistor twice. The resistor and fan motor are accessed from under and behind the glove compartment. so it is hard to get at. After replacing the resistor a second time I looked for a reason. The problem turned out to be a misplaced gasket located at the bottom of the windshield under the plastic cowling. The gasket wasn't re-installed properly at a local dealership when the car was in for a wiper recall issue. The misplaced gasket allowed water to flow down the windshield and directly into the heater fan housing, where the resistor is located. Incidentally - my warranty company refused to cover it stating it was water damage. Also, GM and the dealership refused to replace the motor or resistors which were damaged as a result of the shoddy workmanship at the factory, or at the dealership (or both). Come to think about it, I don't think I could even communicate with the manager at the dealership. I actually got into a verbal argument with the Service Manager, then the dealership owner didn't return my calls, or mail messages. I haven't been back to that dealership since.

A 2006 Dodge Ram does not have a cabin air filter.
Why does Car heater only works while driving?
Most (not all) cars are heated by the engine. When fluid moves through the engine it heats up. This fluid moves through the heater core, a fan moves air over the warm heater coils blowing warm air out to the cars cab.
Why does blower on 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer work on 5 but not 1-4?

Why does your heater blow only cold air?
Your car could be low on antifreeze or your heater core could be clogged.
With my car, it was Heater matrix clogged with radiator sealant. The workshop cleaned it and it's start working fine!
Why would the heater blow cold air when stopped but regular heat when you start moving?
The water level in the radatior is lower than the inlet of the heater core. At idle the water flow is not high enough and the air bubble in the cooling system moves to the highest point in the system The heater core, Now hot water, no heat
Check your thermostat, when the car is sitting still it may not be getting the cerculation it needs
What would cause the heater on a 1994 Ford Ranger not to get warm?
This can result from heater core blockage. If it is partialy blocked, you may notice a little heat with the fan on low, but it goes cool when the fan speed is increased. Other signs of blockage may include engine temperature fluctuation, and/or excessive pinging (pre-ignition). This can also be caused by the engine thermostat being stuck in the open position. Cracked heater core.
The line or core is probably plugged, or if it has a manual or vaccum switch check to see that it is not corroded. If it moves freely, I would find both lines to the core (heater), disconnect them and drain as best you can. I would pour some flush into the lines and let it sit in the lines/core for 15 minutes then attach a garden hose and flush the crap out. I usually install some cheap clear plastic tubing on the core/lines to let gravity help me and to direct the waste away. Remember to top off the rad.It will heat good then. I hope this helps you. Mark
Where is the heater control valve in a ford bantam?
It is located behind the bulkhead, accessible from the engine bay.
One of the reasons a 2000 Jeep Cherokee heater would randomly blow cold air and then hot air and then cold might be that there is a problem with the hot/cold duct. The air or a vent might be inadvertently blowing periodically.
Why does it take so long for the car heater to work?
It depends on the temperature opening of your thermostat most open at 180 degrees
This would indicate that the system is low on coolant when the gauge is hot. Not enough coolant to service the heater core.
Why does your heater blow out cold air?
Do you have a heat pump or Gas Furnace?
With my car, it was Heater matrix clogged with radiator sealant. The workshop cleaned it and it's start working fine!
