What would cause 1989 Ford Contour V6 to surge 300 to 500 RPM while idling?
Generally a surge at low RPMS is caused by a defective vaccum componet or a cracked vaccum line. It still leaks at higher speed but you don't notice it because the engine is GENERATING more volume of vaccum to cover it up. Try this: Take some WD40 and lightly spray it around vaccum lines while the motor is running; as soon as the engine smoothes out you have found the troubled part. The wd40 will TEMPORARILY seal the leak.
What does it mean when the lights dim when revving the car?
I would check for a loose alternator belt.
Would a bad alternator cause your car to stall?
It is possible for the alternator high frequency to interfere with an unshielded crank sensor wire or cam sensor wire. This is what happened to my 2002 windstar. The fix is either replace the alternator with a ford unit and/or wrapping the crank sensor wire with tin foil and then grounding it
Car stalls when air conditioner comes on?
The first thing that you need to check will be to see if the both the a/c compressor and clutch are working as well as checking the condition of the drive belt............
Possibly but I would check all the engine, body and manifold earths first then the coil. Plugs and wires tend to make the engine misfire rather than stall, although it's not impossible that multi-failure through age would cause stalling

Where are temperature sensors on 1.4 corsa van?
Temperature sensors are usually locate in the water-pump housing.
It will start up fine everytime. It runs completely fine when its all cooled down. It only starts having these problems when it gets heated up and the turned off for about 10 or 15 minutes. Then I start it again and it starts doing this. I can drive it fine to anywhere when its cooled and I start it up, but once I drive it somewhere once and then leave it alone for 10,15 mins, then start it up again it sounds like its not getting the correct amount of fuel. When I press on the gas it revs a little bit, but then stalls or begins to stall. Check egr, not that, checked MAP sensor, not that. I don't know what else it could be. It started doing this when I drove it a lot on a really hot day, much more than I usually drive it. Engine temperature got a little over 220 degrees Fahrenheit.

Why won't your 1983 S-10 28 stay running unless you pump the gas?
I had the same problem with my civic, my distributor had gone bad. It wasnt lubricating properly, and eventually it died and I got a new one. There may be a break in one of the vacuum lines or rubber tubes that come off the rochester 2se carburetor or one of the many other vacuum lines. I know-I had my truck shut off and not crank up again due to a dry rotted rubber vacuum line which sometimes are hard to see or find. Have you tried replacing your air filter and breather filter. I was having a problem with my '84 S10. It would not stay running unless you kept your foot on the accelerator, especially in the mornings after it had set for a while. I simply changed these two filters and changed the air temp. sensor, (located inside the breather) and now all is well. It only cost me around $30.00.
