Garden Caterpillars come out when it's early in the moring and occasionally at night, depending on the temprature. All you have to do is pick them up and remove them or be horribly crule and, *gulp*, kill them. If you don't like to touch bugs, simply put a piece of strong paper (paper that wont bend too easily, but will still bend) and let them crawl onto it or pick them up in a tissue.

What is the Dutch 'Der Raupen wunderbare Verwandlung und sonderbare Blumennahrung' in English?

The Caterpillar, Marvelous Transformation and Strange Floral Food is an English equivalent of 'Der Raupen wunderbare Verwandlung und sonderbare Blumennahrung'.

The phrase is the title of a book by Maria Sibylla Merian [April 2, 1647-January 13, 1717]. It was Merian's second published book. Her first book, 'Neues Blumenbuch', was published four years earlier, in 1675.

Merian was born in Frankfurt, Germany. But the observations of flowers and of caterpillars that went into each of the books were made after her move to Nuremberg. Both showcased the considerable talents that Merian may have inherited from her father, Swiss engraver and publisher Matthäus Merian der Ältere [Matthew Merian the Elder, or Sr, September 22, 1593-June 19, 1650]. Merian's talents were encouraged in their beautifully developed expression by her stepfather, still life painter Jacob Marrel [1614-1681].

Merian's talents served her well in her pursuit of a career as a naturalist and scientific illustrator. For example, she wrote and illustrated the first book on Suriname's butterflies and insects, 'Metamorphosis Insectorum Surinamensium', in 1705. The book's spectacular, detailed copperplate illustrations [19.7 inches x 13.8 inches in size] present the butterflies and insects with their favorite plants. Many of the tropical flora and fauna were completely unknown in Europe at that time.

What does a quince taste like?

Eating one right now: fragrant, like an apple or pear but denser not grainy, sweet, slightly tart, dry (astringent) but still has juice. They are varying degrees of hard/dry depending on ripeness. I feel a lump in my throat if I eat too fast because of the dryness. Baked for ~20 minutes: loses its dryness: softer/wetter but still "crunchy". smells more fragrant. (** I'm eating one RAW right now. You DO NOT have to cook them like others claim. )

What makes the throttle stick on a 1995 Isuzu rodeo stick?

If the trottle sticks on a 1995 Izuzu Rodeo please check under the hood of the car immediatly. The trottle cable comes from around the back of the engine compartment from the left side, and attachs to a pully, which you should see on top of the main engine block, unobstructed, and directly in front of you. A wire cable exits the insulated cable housing before attaching to the pully. If you see what appears to be a melted chunk, or pieces of melted rubber attached anywhere along the exposed wire cable, or on the pully itself, there lies the problem. The faulty "Boot" has detached itself from the cable housing and slide down the wire, sometimes melting, or otherwise, and interferring with the cables ability to function properly, as the sticky substance will continue to melt and harden, and possibly creating a bond with the cable and the pully, and therefore not allowing the pully to return to the idle position. This is a very dangerous situation and you need to take your car to a service repairman. Izuzu has not recalled this model, but has recalled their "Tropper" 1995 model for exactly the same defective part, and will not take any responsibility for the Rodeo defective part until forced to do so by the NTSA. Please register a complaint with them, as this is obviously a very dangerous situation, and another example of this car manufactur's lack of accountability and responsibilty, despite the life threatening issue of the this part, obviously the same one used on the Trooper model, but not yet exposed, and somehow less reported.
