Watts = amps x volts x Power Factor. Power Factor comes into play when there are non-resistive loads involved. If you assume a maximum PF = 1 and a 120 volt source then Amps per Watt = 1/120 = .083
Stepper motor for speedometer has a broken gear in it, causing unpredictable operation. If the odometer is still working, then the speed sensor is OK. Instrument cluster needs repair.
Does the engine on a 2003 impala knock in the top of the motor if the knock sensor is bad?
The knock sensor just advances and retards the engine timing only.
If there is a noise in the engine then you have engine are valve train problems. The knock sensor will not make the engine knock.
How to change oil and where is the oil drain located on the 2000 Chevrolet Impala?
My friend if you can't find the drain plug which is located on the oil pan, you have no business going any farther. Pay someone to change your oil. But I will give you instructions if you wish to proceed. Park the car on solid level ground, and start the engine. Let it run for at least 5 minutes if the engine was cold. Shut it off, and jack up the front of the car, and place jack stands on each side. Now crawl under the car and find the drain plug located on the oil pan, located on the bottom of the engine. Remove it and drain all the oil out. Use a socket or boxed end wrench. Do not use an open end wrench or adjustable wrench. The bolt turns counterclockwise to loosen, same with the filter. While under there find the filter and remove making sure the gasket of the old filter also comes off of. Wipe the filter mounting base clean and the apply oil to the gasket of the new filter. Install the new filter and tighten 3/4 turn after it makes contact with the mounting surface. WARNING: Tighten 3/4 turn, no more no less. It may not appear to be tight enough but it is, as it will get tighter once it gets hot. Replace the drain plug after all the oil is removed, (wipe the area clean before installing), and tighten to 20 lb/ft of torque or if you have no torque wrench tighten with a very short wrench until it is snug. Do not over-tighten and be careful and not cross thread the bolt. Remove jack stands and lower the car. Pour in the correct amount and weight of oil, 4.5 quarts of 5W30. Double check the amount and weight in your owner's manual. Replace the oil cap and start the engine, and let it run for 2 minutes, while checking for leaks at the filter and drain plug. If no leaks you have changed your oil and are good to go. If you follow these directions to the letter you will have no leaks. Be sure and take the old oil to a recycle center. Most Auto parts stores and Walmart will take it.
Did you gap the spark plugs before u inserted them into the block casue that can have a big effect.
How do you change the gas filter on a Chevy Camaro?
relieve fuel pressure, squeeze filter bracket and remove from rear drivers side chasis, depress the white quick disconnect tab and detach, then use one wrench to steady the filter and another to unscrew the fuel line and remove filter. installation is reverse.
any Chevrolet distributor big or small block will fit, if it has one wiring group comming out of the dist. if there are 2 separate groups of wires, these are for computer controled vehicles. and will not work. you must run a new 12 volt wire from the ignition switch to the dist. the original wire is a resistor wire and will not supply enough voltage to power the new dist.
This is a copy of my other posting.
This is what I found out. The engine is not overheating. What is happening is that the temperature sensor is not reporting the information correctly, which cause the computer to assume that the sensor is not working and go into default safe mode. Check the temperature gage. It is probably reading zero. In order to prevent overheating, it shuts off the AC and turn on the radiator fan full speed.
I had thermostat replaced which did nothing for the above reason. I don't even know why the dealership even tried to do that since when the temperature reading is zero, it is not the thermostat. Thermostat replacement should only be needed if the car is actually overheating. When I took it in next time, dealership was instructed by the GM tech center not do anything until the new computer calibration becomes available. What they explained to me is that when the sensor gets old, the data signal gets weaker. The new calibration is to be able to read the sensor, even if it starts to send weaker signals. After about a month, it became available. That was last week, the week of April 27th, 2008. There is, or will be a new service bulletin for this.
I got new calibration yesterday. I will be observing it for a while. I drive about 3K per month so I should have a fast longterm info. You should be able to get this done free of charge by the dealer.
I hope this actually solved the problem. Unfortunately, my problem was intermittent so it is hard to tell if this worked.
Where is the knock sensor located on a 1995 Dodge Intrepid 3.3 engine?
the library should have a shop manual for this vehicle, you can make copies of the right sections :)
How can you fix the blower on a 2001 Impala?

Where is the canister vent solenoid on a 2008 Impala?
Jack up and support the rear of the car. Look up and just to the rear of the left rear wheel well. You will see the gas filler tube, in the same area you will see a black plastic canister with one electric plug and one hard black plastic tube about 5/8" in dia. One 10mm bolt holds it in place on a bracket, remove it and the assy will drop down. P.S. The bolt is rusty because that's where all the crud off your tires go. Spray the threads with lube so it won't snap. Good luck.
Where is coolant temperature senor on a 2005 impala?
on the 05 (and presumably other 3.8s of the same body style) it's just under the thermostat housing (where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine).
yes...if you cut it you can put 24's on it yes...if you cut it you can put 24's on it
you probably have a faulty drivers side temp door actuator
OR
The problem you have is the GM heater control unit has lost it's calibration, which can happen from time to time. The way to reset it is, start your car and turn your heater off, and shut off the car, pull out the keys. Then with vehicle off, disconnect the battery, (or batteries if two). Let sit for 10 minutes, then re-connect battery. Get in and start the engine, DON'T touch anything, let the heater control unit re-calibrate for at least 40 seconds, (by the clock), then try turning on the heater. Usually problem over, ! Note: make sure the radio is turned off before disconnecting the battery and if this does not solve the problem, chances are that the vent accumulator has gone bad. It's common for the gears in the accumulator to crack and seized, if your luck it's just to reset or just to lubricate the gears. Good luck Let sit for 10 minutes, then re-connect battery. What is the speaker size for a 1988 Toyota Celica?
3" front housings w/passive radiators.
4" rear deck mounts (coupe only)
The original speakers were made by Fujitsu...heavy cardboard cones to
take bass tones. I suspect extra copper windings to absorb extra wattage.
When replacing, you may find it's better to add caps (capacitors) to block the lower frequencies, or speakers may "pop". Best Buy car audio sells them...call them "Speaker Savers".
Systems sounded great in 1989-1989, but unless you can get the replacements through Toyota, don't know where you will get speakers like that. Most after-market speaks are built more for efficiency and higher fidelity in the proper range -not for full-spectrum sound with bass. The radiators added deep midrange tones to the little speakers. I added a subwoofer to my trunk to make up for the lack of bass after changing speakers. Along with the caps, it sounds good. (I use two amps under seats...one for bass, one for treble/mids. I also have Alpine EQ's in each car. One has bass outputs and one doesn't, but takes high power inputs (which is good, because I am using the stock radio in the convertible and have to hide what I have from thieves. They think it's just a bogus system...yet I have a CD changer wired to the radio antenna. I hide the control under my seat).
Good luck!

What type of power steering fluid for a 2004 Chevy impala?
regular power steering fluid is all you need.
How do you remove the steering wheel on 1964 Chevy impala?
Pop out the horn button, it will just pop out.
The horn mechanism is a plastic ring with a rubber and metal retainer for the horn button. Remove the screws (Three) and don't allow two things to happen: Loose the screws and springs, don't let the horn wire touch metal.
Remove the steering wheel retainer nut.
Mark the orientation of the wheel to centre shaft so you can re install the same.
Use your steering wheel puller with included bolts to pull wheel off shaft.
