How do you turn off the low tire pressure sensing system on a 2003 Ford Expedition?
All you need is an old transmission pan magnet (the round type with the hole in the middle) that will fit over the valve stems. Here is what you do.
First, you will need to cycle the ignition from the off position to the run position three times, ending in the run position the third time. Press and release the brake pedal, then turn the key off. Cycle the key three more times, once again ending in the on position the third time. The horn should sound briefly 1 time, and vehicles equipped with the message center will read "trian left front tire". Take your round magnet and place it over the valve stem of the left (drivers side) front tire (with the stem sticking through the hole in the center) and keep it there until the horn sounds briefly. Move to the right front tire and do the same thing, then right rear, then left rear. Once you've done that, the message center should display "tire training mode complete". Turn the key off and you're all done! I'm not sure if this works on all new Fords, but im pretty sure it works up to at least 2005. everyone out! If you have any questions just reply to this post and I'll do my best to help ya!
check the level of the reservoir and the radiator
if both are filled to factory specs and check coolant message still appears
try removing battery for 5 minutes and reconnecting
AnswerTake your car to your mechanic to make sure the intake cover gasket is not leaking. Impalas with the 3.4 are notorious for leaks. The mechanic will install a new gasket with GM approved sealant and you'll be all set. It'll set you back at least 600 bucks unless your still under warranty. Answerit might be the coolant level module. go to www.impalahq.com and click on the how to link. it gives a good description how to replace it. AnswerYou may have a busted intake gasket, causing oil to leak into the radiator fluid, and vice versa. I'd take it to a good shop and let them take a look. Happened to my 2000 Impala. You'll have to get a oil change and coolant flush, along with seal replacement. AnswerMy problem was a bad coolant level sensor. The dealer wants $58 for a new one so I tried to fix the old one. By soaking the sensor in vinegar, it worked again for about a week. The sensor is very hard to remove without taking out the battery first (which is also very hard to remove). In the process of flushing out the coolant system, I removed the coolant reservoir which was coated with gooey deposits that would not wash off with detergent. I found that paint thinner quickly dissolved the deposits so I decided to try cleaning the coolant level sensor with the paint thinner also. So far, the sensor is working again so it appears that coolant sludge on the sensor was causing the problem. By the way, before cleaning the sensor, remove the 2 o-rings first because the paint thinner will ruin them. Also wash off any traces of paint thinner before reinstalling the reservoir or the sensor.
How do you turn off the low tire pressure sign in the message center on a 2001 Chevy Impala?
I drive a 2002 Chev impala for a living, and what you have to do is turn off the radio, push and hold "Disp" (the bottom button encased in the tuner knob), until settings comes up on the display. use your seek buttons (located to the left of the "1" button) to select the setting you wish to reset, then push "display" once again, to show "reset", push it once more, and "done" will appear on your display. You so the same for oil life, auto-locks, etc. once finished, you seek to "exit", push display, and you're back to normal playing mode. Hope this helps. we took ours to dearler ship they said they replaced somthing and it was fixed well 2 mths later it came back on it just so happened i had to replace my battery at same time when i did it went off now when i have tires balaced or it comes back on i dissconnect battery it works there is suppose to be a way to clear it through the radio but its not there hope this works for u too Mitch

Where is the map sensor located at in 2004 Chevy impala 3.8l?
Twist the neck of oil fill tube and remove it (the oil fill cap can remain attached). This will allow you to remove the plastic splash cover from the top of the engine, just lift front. You'll see a fuel rail from left to right in the middle in the intake manifold area. The map sensor is on the left side of the fuel rail. If you Google for the MAP Sensor at auto parts stores you'll see a picture of one to show you just what you're looking for. Good luck.

Do you need a special tool to remove the door panel on a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero?
You do not need any special tools. The first think I did was to remove the tweeter speaker from the upper inside part of the door closest to your dash. I did this by carefully using a screw driver wrapped in electricians tape to pry it off. The clips will release with enough pressure. Same thing goes for lock/unlock button. Then look to where the handle is to pull your door closed. There should be a very small rectangular panel that can be pryed off revealing two Philips screwss remove and then pry the house the screws were holding. This will allow you to remove the panel that controls each window. After doing that all you have to do is gently pry the door panel away from the door working from the bottom to the top. Do this on both left and right side of door and then lift upwards and it should come off.

How much oil does a 2003 impala ls take?
this is very simple buy yo self a gallon of any brand 10w 30 or 5w 30 depending on how many miles you have... use 10 if over 100,000 miles 5w if under... if you are starting from empty make sure the car is as level as you can get it and never start with out oil this will kill yo car fast... pour about half of the gallon in and have a rag ready..... pull out the dip stick for the engine oil wipe it clean and replace it... give it just a second then pull it out again... flip it over and use the lowest point on the stick... the dots or holes or lines on the stick stand for one quart so if it reads at the middle dot then you need half a quart once you fill it to the line check every week or so to prolong the life of your engine. NEVER OVER FILL
How do you convert a 62 impala from front bench seat to buckets?
The floor mounts for the bench seat will not match up with the buckets. So, you need two things: 1) a set of floor mount brackets that will have to be welded to the floor and 2) a set of bucket seats witht the proper tracks to match up with the floor mount brackets that you are going to install.
While it is true that many of the bucket seats used in Pontiacs, Buicks, Chevs etc were the same or very similar, the seat tracks that bolt the seat to the floor and allow it to move forward and back, are not the same for all those cars. Only 62 to 64 Impala buckets will work in the 62. If you get seats that don't have the right tracks you will have to modify what you have to fit as no one is making these tracks at this time.
So, get your floor brackets and get the right seats and bolt them together. Now put the seats in place and move them about until the bottoms of the brackets match up with the countours of the floor. Once you are happy with the position, tack the brackets into place. Remove the seats and weld the rest of the brackets to the floor.
Re-mount the seats onto the brackets and YOU"RE DONE!
