At 100,000 miles, 10 years, or after inspecting the belt you determine it needs replacing due to cracks, fraying, or stretching to the point it is loose.

it is located under the dash behind the glove box. there are 2 bolts hold it in place. remove the wire connecter and the 2 bolts and slide it out.

Attach the wiring harness to the back of your 2002 Chevy new rear speakers. Secure the rear speakers with the retaining screws. Put the rear speaker covers on.

Get a new mechanic :)... just kidding, the leak is probably not in the line, maybe a bad valve.

Check Your Door Switch, When You Open The Door The Switch That Is In The Door Jam, It May Be Stuck, Or Bad. Open Your Door Press The Switch Several Times To See If The Dome Light Comes On. It Also Could Be Bad. This Will Cause This Problem Also. Good Luck

Just buy a bottle of Berryman's B12 (blue and white aerosol can) and follow the simple instructions. If you're looking to clean the injector internally you can drop B12 in the tank (blue and white plastic bottles) or you can go with the more professional approach by disconnecting the fuel pump (electrically) and connecting a hose to the fuel injector rail along with a can of Berryman's fuel injector cleaner (which actually SCREWS on to the other end of the hose). You'll turn on the engine and run it until the can is empty. If you buy the kit the detailed instructions will be included. DO NOT USE B9... IT'S TOO STRONG!

The '99 Chevy Prizm has a timing chain, not a timing belt, so it does not need to be replaced.

There are several. Refer to owners manual to find which one you need. They are under hood, under dash (driver side) and kick panels.

I honestly have no idea. mine is over 96,000. its almost to 97,000. so at least that much. it will run good with some mods. the engine is a POS stock( i had to LITERALLY floor it to go up a hill when i got it), so most people cant believe i even tried to mod mine.

today is 5/31/10, I got a 98 prizm has 204,789 miles on it and still running strong. so if you are at 100,000 miles, you will be OK.

Real simple, just open the hood disconnect the wire harness from the bulb, and then remove the screws holding it in. There's only two of them according to the manual.

There will be a total of 2 screws, 1 bolt, and 2 nuts to remove the assembly (and, of course, disconnect the two bulbs). The 2 screws are Phillips head and the bolt will need a 10mm wrench (they are on top). The 2 nuts are also 10mm and are behind the clear turn light rounding off the the side of the headlight assembly. Only one screw holds that in and a peg in that light faces straight ahead, so remove that by forcing that light forward. The assembly now only has a friction pivot on the bottom holding it, this also must be pryed straight forward. They will not pop off easily as they are a tight fit.

Not likely because: Code p0420 refers to a problem with your catalytic converter. The engine computer is able to test that converter by using an oxygen sensor before and after the converter. The computer can only test the converter under very specific driving conditions. If the computer determines that it is a good time to test the catalytic converter it will run the test. It compares the oxygen sensor readings in front of the converter to the readings behind the converter to see if the catalytic converter is functioning properly. If it is not functioning properly it will trigger a p0420. Sometimes if a catalytic converter is on the virge of failing it may fail one test and pass the next. This will cause your check engine light to come off and on every once in a while when the test is performed.

A 1998 Chevy Prism's idle speed is computer controlled. You will have to take it to a garage to get it set. However, the idle speed could be altered if, say, your spark plugs are seriously worn. Changing them may restore the original idle speed.

I had the same exact problem with my 98 prizm. It IS a fuse. Mine was located in the fusebox, behind the little storage compartment on the dash. It's a 15 amp mini fuse, marked as lighter. Hope this helps you!

Saturns have a design defect, and the piston rings are part of a complete engine overhaul. $$$$$ You'll want to flush out the carbon that builds on the piston rings, that causes it to consume oil... follow your owners manual ,..look a the maintenace section and follow the schematics provided of you fuse panel also known a the smart junction box the fuse's wil numbered and noted on the side of the page this will state the location of the fuse you are looking for ,..good luck

Your car is a Geo Prizm and not a Chevrolet. It is in reality a re-badged Toyota Corolla, built in California at the NUMMI plant. The 1.8 engine was only available in 1994 on the LSI as an option. The base car had only the 1.6. Under the hood you should find a placard with the engine size listed.

Your are LSI model right? No there is not. window doesn't roll down or up. You might have bad window motor or switches. Check your door jamb wire connection that runs to the window motor. Good luck
