How do you change a brake light on a 2000 Chrysler Concorde?

The Left and Right are very easy.

There are 3 1" diameter plastic spinner nuts on each side in the trunk, very visible and accessible Remove these nuts. and entire light assembly will then be free from the rear body panel ...pull toward rear. This exposes all the lamps. The lamp holders are 1/4 turn to release and the old lamps can be pulled out and replaced, note polarity. The center lamp requires you to remove the trunk liner under the back shelf. pry loose the 4 plastic "pine trees" this will expose the lamp holder . It takes two lamps for the center.

1995 Chrysler Concorde and it keeps blowing the same fuse what is the problem?

Fuses That "Blow" Repeatedly

Without being able to "hands on" troubleshoot the circuit served by the repeatedly blowing fuse, no one can identify the specific cause/defect which is causing your problem.

The following generic answer applies to any electrical circuit, whether in a vehicle, or in a building, or whether alternating current [AC] or direct current [DC].

Fuses [and Circuit Breakers] are safety devices designed and installed in electrical circuits TO PROTECT the conductors [wires] and other components from short circuit conditions and/or overload conditions which cause an extremely large flow of electrical current [measured in Amperes], which causes overheating of the conductors that results in damage to the insulation and the conductors. And in a worst case, the probability of a FIRE which could destroy the vehicle, house, or other structure in which the circuit is located.

When a fuse or Circuit Breaker [and replacement fuses, or "tripping" Circuit Breakers] "blow," especially if it happens repeatedly, is an indication of an UNSAFE CONDITION in that circuit, usually a short.

The fuse or circuit breaker is doing what it was designed, intended, and installed to do, protect the conductors and components of the circuit which it serves.

The proper "fix" is for a qualified technician, who knows what he or she is doing, to troubleshoot the involved circuit, find and identify the defect, and make proper repair [s], BEFORE replacing the fuse again [with the properly sized fuse or before resetting a circuit breaker].

Some ignorant few will suggest installing a larger fuse or breaker to solve the problem, BUT that will only increase the hazard, not correct it. Do not follow "bad" advice by installing a larger fuse in a misguided attempt to correct the problem. To install an over-sized fuse would almost guarantee damage to the wiring and an electrical system fire.

Why does the trunk lid open on its own?

could be a short in the electronic release on your trunk latch. if you have one of those handy lil remotes that opens your trunk for you, that meaans theres a little electronic switch that's hooked to your latch. if there is a short " 1 or 2 wires toucing each other or something metal in your car" that could be a problem. does it happen when you go over bumps ? or another reason is that your latch could be adjusted to loose and needs to be tightened, the loop lowered ect. could be many things with all of the electronics in cars today. it is either mechanical, " whole trunk lock assmbly is to loose" or electronic " the electric switch hooked to your latch, or maybe a short in the remote that keeps popping when not wanted. those are a couple options to think about.

How do you remove the rear struts on a 2004 Chrysler Concorde?

I just removed the rear struts on my 2004 Chrysler Concorde. To remove the arm you will need to use a little force. You will notice first a hose with a join in the middle where the arm meets the cowel of the car (the plastic vent shaped piece right by the base of the wind shield). This hose is how the windshield solution is delivered to the wiper arm. You want to pull this hose apart right at the join, it should come apart.

Now you need to remove the arm itself. There is a metal mushroom shaped piece that comes out of the car, the wiper arm slips over the head of this mushroom. The metal tab which is attached to the wiper arm (that slipped on) simply slides under the bottom of the mushroom head to keep it from coming off. You need to pull this tab out to remove the arm from the mushroom head. This tab is not always easy to move.

I used a screw driver to gently pry the tab downward (toward the cowl) so it would come loose. Once loose I slid the tab out (it doesn't come out completely, just partially) until I saw a small hole in the tab piece. Then I pried the arm off the mushroom head using a fulcrum and a lever combined with a gentle twisting and pulling motion. It came off this way.
